Caw.
There's a serial killer running lose in Gotham! And he wears a Scarecrow costume!
This issue constantly flashes backward and forward. We're seeing Cran get his revenge on his mentor, while we continually flash back to Batman and Robin as they try to solve the case, as well as Crane's childhood.
Looks like Crane grew up in the Oven. I wonder what state Gotham's in. Wherever it is, Bats had to take a jet to get there. (Not a Batplane, this is really a Batjet.) During the investigation, we learn much about Scarecrow's childhood. How he was an unwanted child and how he was tormented by his peers (who beat him up) and his grandmother (who sicced crows on him.)
One thing I really like is the artwork. Sean Murphy is great.
I liked this issue.
