Plot Summary

In This issue we meet a theater troupe, who travel the country to give the women entertainment. They are practicing a version of The Pirates Of Penzance when a woman from a near by town comes up to them and asks if they could preform some continuations of the soap operas they used to watch.

In the middle of the night a little girl who is traveling with the troupe hears a noise that sounded like a monster. While standing guard the women begin chatting about reasons the men may have died, when all of a sudden, they hear the noise also.

After looking around they find a hurt Ampersand, and they take him back to their tent to patch him up. When they do they discover he is male. Thinking it is a sign they decide to write a play about the last man on earth. As the chapter comes to an end we see what looks to be a ninja spying on the troupe.

Comedy & Tragedy: Act One of Two:

First off I would like to say, I am a big fan of the cover to this issue. There are plenty of Shakespere references throughout the series. So many in fact you would expect that there are royalties needed to be paid. That being said, I am of two minds about this issue. On one hand, it is interesting to get a perspective of what's happened by someone other than the three main characters. On the other hand, none of the women in this theater troupe seem to be worth knowing. Of all the issues, I found this one to be the hardest to get through.
