The story centers around the fallout of the finale season of  Xena  on T.V. It picks up where the season finale ended. 
Xena  is still dead and a grief stricken  Gabrielle  has decided to resurrect her friend no matter the consequences. She makes a deal with an elder God; C'Thulon ; and the story revolves around and altered reality where  Xena  and  Joxer are alive but  Xena  is now more evil than ever. It then becomes  Gabrielle 's mission to turn her back to the light or kill her again.
