MVC2 was just X-men vs. Street Fighter and friends. MVC3 has enough X-men characters already, give me someone else.

Well, I am sure most of us who paid money to play the game would take Cyclops over any of the guys listed. Was that too much too ask Capcom? The f-ing mutant messiah, one of Marvel's most iconic and leader of the most popular Marvel comic...The only reedming factor is Phoenix Wright is finally in this game.

there are already enough X-Men characters. No More.

I'd like to see Scarlet Witch, Invisible Woman, Justice and Black Panther. Dr. Strange would be fun, too (could play similar to Wanda).

I agree Cyclops atleast should have been in the game. He is too important an X-Men and Marvel character to be left out.  
if they were to put an X-vlillain, I'd say Apocalypse instead of Sentinel :P Hawkeye and Ghostrider look awesome! Glad Phoenix is in it! Ironfist should be interesting ;) 

I'm not a fan of hers, but Emma Frost would be an interesting character to utilize in a game like this with her psychic attacks AND her diamond form

So is MVC3 going the EA Sports route adding a few new players/characters, one shiny new toy and charging me full price?  They better add a bunch of new characters besides the ones announced!!!

To EVERYONE bitching about Cyclops not being in the game, they weren't allowed to use Cyclops (Marvel told them no). The same went for Iceman. I can understand Cable and Colossus not being in there either. Granted I would like Gambit and Psylocke in there but hey whatever. You have to remember this is MARVEL vs Capcom. X-men are a portion of the Marvel universe. Remember there is a Supernatural (Ghost Rider, Dr. Strange and Iron Fist) and Cosmic (Nova and Rocket Raccoon) aspect to Marvel as well. Hawkeye was kinda a given considering he is a important Avenger. 
 
Think about it, the game is also supposed to build hype for MARVEL characters. When players play obscure characters, Marvel's goal is to get those characters recognized. God forbid those players will go pick up books with those characters in them and then *GASP* actually read comics.
 
So please if you are going to complain, don't play/buy the game. MvC 2 is still out there, go play that to get your X-Men fix. Hell go play X-Men vs Street Fighter. Characters like Cyclops, Iceman and Cable are projectile whores anyway. Remember this game is trying to balance stuff. Putting in projectile spamming characters would do the exact opposite. 
 
If there is any complaining to happen it is about these guys not being there: Megaman X, Jin, Hayato, CAPTAIN FREAKING COMMANDO, and for Thor's sake put in some good Dark Stalkers characters.

Do you just want them to remake X-Men vs Street Fighter over again every year with better graphics? There is always the chance you'll get the old characters later on in a DLC.

@Caligula: and also, they need to add more "small" characters for balance you can't just have a few who are underneathe that mid level attack height and not others

they should have added cyclops instead of x-23 and rougue instead of sentinel in the original game. but thats just it  woulda.coulda.shoulda.DIDNT.  now they have to stick with it and give the rest of marvel time  in the spotlight

there was a poll at capcom-unity.com firebrand wasn't even in top 25 characters from capcom side ...capcom should have added jon talbain instead of firebrand ... thats why i said firebrand is waste of character slot

 No. Most casual players don't even know or care about Nova. Ironfist...meh, i would have taken Daredevil or Punisher over him anyday. 
And Rocket Racoon? Some of you guys are just sheep, follow the leader without any thought, just mindless follower. If they put Shitman in it, you love him to death too. It's ok to have a voice and opinions.

QFT. Gambit was top in Marvel. Cyclops was near too. Its a shame they are not in the game.

@LB70145: I agree with everything you've said except for Hawkeye being a "given" why is he a given? I think he's an odd (but awesome) choice

@super_psycho I heard rumors of Firebrand before the first game was even released, so they may have already been developing him for the game.

@Edgeworth_11 I liked Gambit and Cyclops too, but do we really just want the same characters with one more super move? I think the problem is when you look at it like a popularity contest. It's not. It's a game and we need the most freshness we can get from dynamic characters that are as different as possible. Of course there are a lot of characters I would like to have instead of others, but I'm a fan of the series first. I don't care who is in it, so long as the game looks good and is fun to play.

@Caligula Check the vids I posted in the main thread. Hawkeye is unique and actually surprisingly awesome

@super_psycho I happen to love Firebrand. I'm a fan of the Ghosts n Goblins series and Demons Crest. Again, have you watched the game play? He's a beast! Besides, he's on the capcom side, you can't trade him for an X-Men character.
