So here is one I just thought of. What is everyone's favorite funny moment from the X-MEN history they can remember?

Astonishing X-men. Cracks me up every time as Wolverine "re-discovers" himself!

@chapmar: the first time I read that issue, it was in a digital version that was, for whatever reason, missing only that page.

So when I finally got around to buying the trade, it made that scene that much funnier to me.

Santo is such a goofball.
He's got a lot of funny moments, this being just one of them.

@oldnightcrawler: I freaking loved that part. It's much more telling of Wolverine's personality than a million pages of character description and thought bubbles.

I also think that this recent meeting was laugh out loud funny:

@chapmar: oh, man, there's so many. Pretty much every main character is hilarious in Whedon's Astonishing X-Men. I could write pages just about all the things I laughed out loud at in that book.

I've always loved how Claremont wrote Nightcrawler and Kitty, especially with Wolverine (like that time they took Colossus to a bar and he got in a drunken brawl with the Juggernaut? classic), but most of the early Excalibur was pretty funny too.

Speaking of Nightcrawler and Wolverine, I've noticed that Brubaker's Divided arc doesn't get a lot of recognition, but I thought Wolverine, Nightcrawler, and Colossus' trip to Russia was full of great, funny moments.

Currently I'm having a lot of fun with Bendis' Uncanny X-Men and All-New X-Men, both of which make me laugh out loud pretty much every issue. Though I'm far more interested in the story in Uncanny', I've really come to enjoy his voice on Wolverine, Kitty, and especially the two Icemen, so it's a bit of a guilty pleasure.

It's times like tHese were MetH wisHes He was a bigger X-Men fan. :( oH well... life is like a box of cHocolate, maybe one day MetH will catch up.

I just started reading New X-Men, and I laughed pretty hard when Emma Frost came back to the X-Mansion after having an "epiphany," snapped Cassandra Nova's neck, and then Cyclops said, "Emma.. I knew you wouldn't turn your back on us." Emma then said, "As sweet as you are, I didn't come back for you, Scott. I came for my handbag." Gotta love Emma Frost!

Most of Whedon's run is hilarious. I can't even begin to name a few.
