So this happened in Magneto #9 last week.

She clearly says "HE said the man with the bloody skull stole his powers." So since Red Skull has Xavier's brain the consciousness of Xavier must still be trapped inside of The Red Skull. As we've seen in Superior Spider-Man it's very hard to remove someone from their own brain and make it your own as Peter Parker was able to come back from a few memory fragments. Considering this is the brain of the worlds most powerful telepath I would think taking over his brain would be much harder and nearly impossible.

So Xavier could still have a role in Axis and help stop the Red Skull from the inside.

Since Axis will involve Onslaught I'm kind of hoping that Xavier will just be made purely out of psionic energy like Onslaught's physical form was.

Sound like it. I'm hoping is what ya thinking. i want xavier back and take over the xm since cyclops lately is becoming like mags. The only difference is that he haven't attack a human, but that doesn't mean he wouldn't.

Poor professor, he got no brain. I like this Max's book. Truly is amazingly.

Lots of people hoped he will kick Skull's ass, or at least will be smarter than he was.

@adamtrmm: I didn't expect Max to kick his or their ass, at least not right away. Otherwise, Axis wouldn't take place. What I like about Max in UA is that after being captured, he was released by the XM, and knowing he's no match for those freaks... he shows some balls on wanting to fight them again. He never gives up and that's what I like about him. At the end Max will destroy him (them) and we know this.

No, it shows that he learned nothing from his mistakes. Arrogance was the cause of his defeat so many times, we don't need another showing of it.

Whatever it means, I expect character evolution. Right now, I've seen none.

@adamtrmm: HE'S MAGNETO... is what I mean. Patient... is what you need. Things can't happen they way you want and how you want. The best part that we know so far is that he became more interesting than any characters in their solo book. And I'm pretty sure he's evolving, still arrogance, but evolving cause he's a completely different character.
