I actually didn't like X-teme X-Men that much, the Invasion arc was okay, I felt Claremont didn't have the same magic he once had brought to the title

I agree. I didn't like the artwork or the costumes, either, though. It seemed like a very vapid series. I was reading "New X-Men" during it's run, so I never really felt the need to get invested in it. Did they ever find Destiny's diaries? Why did they want to hide them in the first place? Did Mystique know anything about them?

    heh, No

I believe something like 9 of 13 volumes of her diary are discovered, Shadowcat stole five from the X-Men that were given to them by Mystique for her own reasons..Vargas was in possession of 2. Xavier had the others

    Its a dangling plot thread

@AgeofHurricane: Wow, thanks for explaining that, wasn't fully aware of how they interacted.

@RoboShark: For a while I held back from reading it for the same reason, but it ended up being pretty readable. Mind you, for the entirety of the run it was pretty much dripping with all that early 2000s EXTREMEness, and it was really very cheesy, but it was written by Chris Claremont, of course it's cheesy. Still worth a look, especially if one has read the events that link this title to Uncanny and Without-adjective.

    I agree. I thought the arena was neat and is the reason I am reading X-treme X-men. It reminded me of Storm getting throw into a Rihanna's S&M version of a Colosseum tournament (The kinky outfits, bright colors, different hairstyles, masque being transgendered.)  LOL I found it pretty cool. But a LOT of people don't like the story as a whole. );
X-treme X-men as a whole is kind of slow yet there stories have a decent amount of substance and are interesting. (After reading x-treme x-men I know why Striker and Deathstrike where partners in X2)
Too each his own I guess.

I appreciated the bizarre outfits because Storm has been wearing off the wall sh*t for many of her years as an active X-Man.............It made me happy to see her go back to basics.

Yeah, the title was a lot more important than most would think. It was the events in X-Treme X-Men that occured in it's first 2 issues that lead to Beast's evolution into the more feline form that we know today.

I like that about heroes, especially Storm. She can dress as a queen, goddess, thief, bride, x-men, or even a dominatrix gladiatrix!! At the end of the day Storm can do many Amazing thing but still revert back to her self if need be. <3

(Sorry for the double post) But OMG.. I couldn't have said it any better myself!! I TOTALLY AGREE! Claremont knows the characters and is loyal to them, but he takes 6 issues to tell a 2-3 issue story.
Decent stories! But man-- they can drag on for a while...

Reading this though, I think that Cyclop's street team...

Which could still be cool because I also like Dazzler.

What about Cyclops' street team? Are you referring to the fact that Lifeguard is stated to be a member of it? Explain, please.

After Schism, Cyclops created a street team to be local heroes in SF (good public relations and all that). That team was Dazzler, Northstar, and a few others (I can't recall at the moment), but didn't have Lifeguard as a member (though that would be cool if they brought her back from comic limbo). From the link, it looks like Dazzler will be teaming up with an alternate universe Wolverine, nightcrawler and Emma Frost (kind of like the Exiles comic).

Uh, the actual Street Team consists of: Dazzler, Lifeguard and Boom Boom. Northstar appears over at Astonishing. Lol.

I know what Cyclops' street team is! Hell, I'm pretty sure I made that clear in the original post. There were many links and pictures on that page, I had no idea which of them you were referring to.
