I just bought Wolverine and the X-men 1-17 in a lot on ebay and it came with the mini series Alpha and Omega 1-5 included and I was wondering where the mini series fits in with the Wolverine and the X-men story? Thanks!

It doesn't exactly 'fit' anywhere, so to speak. It's in its own little bubble/continuity frame, nothing that transpires in Alpha and Omega has an impact in the main series WaTX.

Which is a good thing, because the 5 issues that make up Alpha and Omega top Aaron's entire run by a milestone.
