I agree. I still don't understand why they just brought back AOA Nightcrawler instead of the original Nightcrawler. They might as well have brought the rest of the AOA cast into the 616 universe.

Im ok with Nightcrawler staying death, it's about time that a prominent x-men get killed.

I think they were tired of his personality, and there way of making him X-TREME!111!!! was to bring the AOA version, who likes violence a bit more.

It's kind of funny in that the AOA versions mastered their powers more so were more powerful than the 616 versions: I think Marvel would do this if they weren't worried about ruining future movies and cartoon opportunities.

Because they think AoA Nightcrawler is a sufficient replacement.

If the real Nightcrawler comes back, I just might start reading X-Men again.

they've been in a war for their entire lives...where as their 616 counterparts have had it much easier in comparison...they would have to master their powers to survive

Actually, I've noticed some foreshadowing in "Wolverine&X-men" during brood invasion. Something about their bamfs from brimstone dimension is odd...

k4tzm4n, that's not even half true. What made Nightcrawler cool was that he didn't have to be a murderous, brooding psychopath to be interesting. I'm waiting until AoA Nightcrawler is finally killed off, and there is only one blue devilish looking mutant with a prehensile tale and a stunning lack of fingers. Life-sized, anyway.

Just give it time, they bring back everyone sooner or later. No need to get in such a fuss.
