It is just a plot device. Keep it as is. They stay like that for six issues, a couple tie ins and then they will go back to normal.

I personally like the Top 5 that were chosen. I really cant think of anyone else it just makes sense.

Namor ehhhh I guess I aint mad at em I wouldnt mind Storm taking his place

I would prefer it there were no Phoenix 5 really. I don't like the Phoenix being associated with anything without the last name "Grey".

But I would keep the Phoenix 5 as it is because the costumes look pretty cool.

Cyclops, Quentin Quire, Beast, and Storm. Led by Hope Summers. I don't want my favs to be a part of this disaster, so I kept them off the list. Sadly, Colossus is already part of the Phoenix Five, a group of Avenger's villains, who won't be villains for two, maybe three more issues.

She has natural defenses to telepathy (emma)

She's a great and experienced leader (cyclops)

I think Merriam-Webster's 4th definition is a bit biased.

But then again, its probably true.
