The X-Men are a superhero team of mutants founded by Professor Charles Xavier. They are dedicated to helping fellow mutants and sworn to protect a world that fears and hates them.
Does everyone remember the Emma Frost in the new X-men movie? Like.. come on WTH? She gets in one fighting scene, and not even fully touching basis of her full power. To top it off the actress just sucked. And I mean sucked it big time.
I personally think Nicolette Sheridan, would be a perfect Emma Frost. Her accent and the ability to be sarcastically funny, has been realized in the desperate housewives movies IMO.
@stevenJKPower: If she were to appear in X-Men 4 or 5, they could actually used Sheridan. Timewise it would be somewhat plausible. And agreed, she would be a better Emma Frost than January Jones.
Candice Hillebrand could do the part some royal just.
Another very random actress who could play Emma would be Victoria Beckham. British Accent, arrogant, sexy, both have bleach blonde hair and a breast implants, and Victoria looks more like Emma than January Jones.
I think we should give January Jones another shot. It's not entirely her fault Emma didn't go over all that well with some people, her dialogue was actually quite plain. She was more of a plot device, we never got any sort of indication of what her motives were. I think they need to play to Emma's wit and disinterest more than her sex appeal, what makes her sexy is that she has no qualms about being as brazen and honest and as brutal as possible.
Not to mention, the alternatives presented aren't very much better. Who even is that chick in the side-by-side with the Emma picture? On looks alone I don't think Emma would pluck her eyebrows to the point where she'd have to draw them in or wear metallic eyeshadow with...lip liner.
As for the rest, Alice Eve or Nicolette Sheridan are contenders. But still, it's sort of like how every Jean Grey thread is just every ginger in Hollywood. I predict many other big-racked, blonde actresses for this thread. Elisha Cuthbert? Anyone mention her yet? People always fit her for every role, drives me nuts.

I agree, January Jones was a solid choice for the role, The best casting is usually when its someone who would be your absolute last pick for the role...like Kevin Bacon as Sebastian Shaw (who saw that coming). I found Januarys lack of presence in the role to be great...like she was cold or distant, I have no idea if she did that on purpose though
I guess an alternate choice for me would been Natasha Henstridge, or Imogen Bailey
Alice Eve. She was originally cast in X-Men: First Class, but was later replaced with January Jones. January Jones may be ridiculously hot, but she couldn't act to save her life. Katee Sackoff would also be a good choice, although recent reports claim she is involved in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
I came across this thread and I just had to revive it to get my two cents in :P
Two worthy Emma Frost contenders are:
Katheryn Winnick (black belt in Taekwondo and Karate)
and Elizabeth Debicki
Both are gorgeous and have very expressive faces with great features which would add depth and emotional range to the Emma Frost character - instead the reducing her to a skimpy dressed dull bimbo.
After seeing the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2, I couldn't help but remark on how the leader of the Sovereign Ayesha was more than half way to a good Astonishing Emma Frost.
There are various versions of Emma Frost, but the version of the character I love is expensive. Powerful. Conniving. Brilliant. And vain as hell. Oh and endowed with a fascinating mix of a superiority complex and some genuine grief about her role in the deaths of her former students.
She's a complicated lady, and we need a brilliant actress to represent her in all that complexity. Not just C-List sex symbols or has been TV actresses. We need someone with a prestige background.
I recommend Rosamund Pike! She's been a Bonds girl, but more importantly, she was fricking terrifying and as manipulative as hell in Gone Girl. I think she's perfect for the role! I also like that she's in her 40s, but looks younger. She does icy quite well, and would be amazing at delivering Emma's viscous, droll dialogue!
Man, this makes me realize how much I miss Emma Frost! I hope she comes back to the X-Men comics soon. I've heard that she'll make an appearance in the Iceman solo title, and possibly as a villain in X-Men Blue???
Ali Larter, she may be in her early 40s but I think she can still pull it off.I checked her recent insta and she still looks really good. She played a hero already in "Heroes" so she has experience in the genre of superhero acting.
