Aside from dying, the past x-men don't really seem to change their adult counterparts. All of them would have had their personalities changed by now, but all of the adult ones are still the exact same. They seem to be their own independent paradoxes. I thought they were fro an alternate past, but was proven wrong when younger cyclops died older one vanished

The real character bendis is butchering is jean, He's been trolling the Xmen fanbase for too long now we need to do something about this

This is part of what I mean by a blatant disrespect of continuity. Use Northstar or some other gay character but to just randomly take a well established character and change everything to fit your agenda of shock value or sell more books, is ridiculous. Plus I'm really sick of the agenda pushing.

It's been confirmed that the story of Iceman being gay will be told. The older is gay as well, as per Bendis and Quesada.

It doesn't matter. Bendis already said the story of older Bobby's sexuality will be told in Uncanny X-Men # 600.

Pfft, I gave him a break at first thinking he had this daunting task of giving a personality and voice to a character who most people say doesn't have one but she is completely unlikeable and i'm thinking "The Bald One" knows this.

I think Teen Jean is cute - in that she's not the perfect Saint-Goddess-Queen-Angel that all the characters around her seemed to remember as. She is just a kid. And watching her develop is one of the things that compels me to read this book. Bobby being gay, while adult Bobby is straight, is pretty lame. I smell a retcon coming in Uncanny X-Men #600.

Both. They're different characters IMO, even if they're from the "same" timeline. The adult Bobby has had very different life experiences from the teen Bobby, so even if he had homosexual thoughts at one point, it doesn't mean that he grew past them, or had a life changing experience. I'm gay, but I think there is space for someone's sexuality to change over their lifespan - it is a combination of physical and emotional impulses after all.

yeah, but it's annoying when you have thoughts about a characters you wanted to end up with in an alt reality, only for them to turn out to be gay. It's like being punched in the face then getting told you have cancer.
