Team » X-Men appears in 13416 issues.
The X-Men are a superhero team of mutants founded by Professor Charles Xavier. They are dedicated to helping fellow mutants and sworn to protect a world that fears and hates them.
Who is your favorite X-Man
@sprior93: Why Colossus?
@tristanheron: I just think he's a compelling character; a sad, vulnerable man who has the power to become indestructible.
I've always seen Colossus as the young boy going off to war, only to return as the PTSD suffering veteran. A naive farm boy, swayed by Xavier's lofty dream, is thrown into the chaotic life of the X-Men and transformed into a jaded, troubled man. Yet, despite all his trauma and emotional turmoil, Colossus still has a heart of gold.
He's also visually striking with his imposing size, chrome skin and colorful costumes. Always a pleasure to look at, especially when drawn by John Byrne.
Adult Jean - I've always liked her personality, and telepathy + telekinesis has always been an interesting powerset since it's so versatile.
I'll probably go into my top X-Men from each team when I have a bit more time later on. My top X-Man unfortunately leaves out characters I follow, but can't really compare with my main favorite.
@sprior93: Thanks for that. I like that analogy of the PTSD war veteran.
I guess like Len Wein you were pissed when Claremont made him the brother of a cosmonaut not just a farmer's boy.
@tristanheron: I'm more angry with Jeff Lemire for retconning Piotr's father as abusive.
@sprior93: Yeah, that was a bad idea. In fact it's hard to think of any retcon that was a good idea.
@invain: touche
@mightymodok: They need to put Forget Me Not for get me not in an X film. Just a Cameo. Just have them go "Who is that?" have him standing there. Then them forgetting who they asked about.
Magneto: Marksmanship
One can argue that X-Men represent inclusivity, so we shouldn't single out favourites, however, I was a member of Bones Gate fraternity (Dartmouth College), a localized chapter of the popular Delta Tau Delta national fraternity, which boasted an inclusive policy while still presenting stand-out campus leaders.
So, I designed a Bones Gate (BG) and Magneto duo crest-logo and made Magneto an honorary member of BG, since he is my favourite X-Men avatar.
Magneto represents powers and pensive poise.
@mightymodok: goldballs and forgetmenot makes your list lol wow major kuddos on being different lol
