    I want to start reading an X-Men comic from the start and figure I should start collecting volumes. I want to start reading one that features Iceman, Kitty Pryde, Colossus, Emma Frost, Magneto, Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch and Pyro and one that that doesn't require too much background knowledge. I'm leaning towards Ultimate X-Men because it doesn't require any background knowledge but I'm not a huge fan of the graphics or the look of the characters in it. Can anyone offer some help?
