X-Men
Team » X-Men appears in 13416 issues.
The X-Men are a superhero team of mutants founded by Professor Charles Xavier. They are dedicated to helping fellow mutants and sworn to protect a world that fears and hates them.
Which lady do you dislike the most
Nobody chose Rogue ?
LOL.
Yeah, Rogue.
Those perpetual soliloquies were tiring, all the more reason for her reign of malignant spot-light stealing in Legacy to come to an end. Which, it is.
Nice to see all the Jean Grey disdain, even in death, she still has the majority (Emma fans are an automatic given, for the most part) moaning.
</3.
I know a lot of people are going to say Storm, and that's probably because of all the Storm fans. Ha ha.
I don't really like Emma Frost. I mean, I like her the least. Then Psylocke, The other X-Ladies are my favorite X-Men characters along woth Wolvie and Beast.
I have to say Kitty. I don't see what is so cool about her, even though she has some good lines. Rogue is my second least liked on that list. She's always annoyed me.

I think the Jean-hate has more to do with how many bad storylines she's been pushed into. At this point, I think most readers don't remember her personality before The Phoenix or that she had a good run without the P.F. for years in X-Factor. Many only remember the awkward relationship dynamic between her, Cyclops and Wolverine, as well, where she was often characterized as a well-meaning vixen to be fought over. The animated series from the '90s didn't help matters much - fainting every episode doesn't win you many fans in superhero stories.

Grant Morrison says otherwise. To all of that.
@AgeofHurricane: Actually if i remember correctly it was that hack Steven Seagle who started up all that Phoenix is Jean crap again, not that will make it any better...a hack job is a hack job. Morrison @ DC = awesome, Morrison @Marvel = SUCK (in a bad way)
@PhoenixoftheTides: Actually Jean was at her most interesting when she was fighting for Scott's attention from Maddie, she had me at X-Factor #25-26. Jean was really good when she had Christopher as a foil as well, I think.

Heh. That's why the Morrison run is my favorite. By the way, I think you might be confused - I was saying why I think other readers dislike the character and giving their reasons for it. I've said it multiple times, but Grant Morrison's Jean Grey revitalized the character and I really liked "New X-Men" as a whole.

Agreed. Jean is one of my favorite characters so I wish more writers would do more with the character than fan-wank all over the Phoenix Force.
I like Jean Because im a sucker for a red head, Psylocke for well... Fan Servace, Kitty is very cute, Storm is very classie and very hot, Rogue... I always had a thing for rogue plus I love her acsent and I don't like Emma Because she is not to be trusted, She is a scank and well... She rubs me the wrong way.
i actually love all the ladies listed, Jean IMO went too everywhere, the first Phoenix saga was great, the Dark Phoenix one was awesome but after that let it go. Honestly the first two issues of All new reminded me how much i really liked the character, when she was herself and not some bat shit crazy phoenix. I love Emma, as well if they were going to put Scott with anyone other the Jean, Emma fit the bill to make a totally different couple (so it wasn't just a rip off of jean) and really made me enjoy them both. Shadowcat was always one of my favorites, loved her adultness in the Whedon run, but the new her isn't very much. Storm is just the baddest bitch in the world, she is strong and powerful and should always be respected even if she hasn't been used much lately.
That leaves two, Psylocke for me is middle of the run, no where near my favorite but no where near the bottom of the list either, nothing to hate about her but nothing I PERSONALLY love about her. Rogue, as much as i loved her forever, i have to say the last idk 10 or so issues of Legacy made me glad the series was canceled, her constant rants and speeches about over coming adversity and blah blah, like shut up call some one sugah and hit some one already. So yea shes got my vote.

You know what? I like you.
I was sweating bullets, I thought Storm was in jeopardy in this topic. lol
Too bad Hope's name wasn't on that list!! I would have voted her! lol
Maybe it's just terrible writing but... I'm kinda new to comics. I haven't read anything in-depth with regards to Rogue. However, I have picked up Uncanny Avengers 1 and 2 and she pisses me off in them.
She's understandably mad at Scarlet Witch but really... You can date and forgive her father for all of his crimes against humanity and all the lives he's taken but you can't get past it for her? And what if she and Magneto worked out as a couple... she could've been Scarlet Witch's mother! She should know better from dealing with Mystique that having a dysfunctional family where you want to kill each other is hardly a good thing. And Scarlet Witch doesn't seem to be the one instigating these confrontations with Rogue. So I'm placing the blame for their fights all on Rogue's shoulders.

I love Jean. Always have.
I don't like Kitty at all. Never have.
^This.. Although I was very impressed by how Joss Whedon wrote her in Astonishing X-men. Before that, I didn't know she had potential to even remotely catch my interest. >_> But that's pretty much about it... IMO she is as boring as a box of rocks to me. Nothing personal Kitten.
Storm. Weather powers? They already have a guy who's better at cold and ice. They have Cyk who's energy blasts are as good or better than her lightening. Wind..... who cares.

Cyclops and Iceman are the members of the O5, the team of preliminary X-Men that almost got the franchise we know today cancelled due to their monotone personalities. They are boring.
Storm is better.
Imo.

You're making an argument on the way their character personalities were fifty years ago, really?

Had the X-Men constituted of this same roster from then till now, they'd be as boring af and no where near as popular as they are today. So sadly, yes, really.

The same could be said for any big comic book team. Avengers, JLA, X-Men...
