What X-Men story arc would you like to see get a animated movie?

Which X-Men story arc or crossover would like to see get made in to a direct to DVD animated movie? Don't worry about the fact that most Marvel's direct to DVD movie suck. This one will be good, and you are not limited on the time on the DVD to tell your story......

If you said "series" I would say Inferno. I've always had a soft spot for that one. Movie...hmmm...Age of apocalypse, then. (The first meta series and make it a trilogy)

I have to agree with chasereis. AoA would be the ultimate Marvel animation for fans. Make it like a three volume series. Each 1hr 30 min. Mhm.

Maybe an extended God Loves, Man Kills movie. Or I would love a new series of movies based on New X-Men, specifically Morrison's run.

oh man there are so many that i would love to see. I've aways thought the Deadly Genesis arc would be awesome to see, and I would really like to see Second Coming, that would make a really kick ass movie.

@judasnixon: Days of Future Past, as a direct adaptation of the comic. It's the right length (two full Claremont issues), and then people would be more familiar with the original version of the story.

My second choice would be God loves, Man kills, again, as a direct adaptation.

Whedon's Astonishing X-men run would make a good mini series (or maybe a trilogy, if you wanted to skip Dangerous).

For any of these though, it'd be nice to see the animation really look and feel like the comic art, like the way BET's Black Panther series looked. That was just gorgeous.

@dangallant984: Oh man..... Each time I hear about BET's Black Panther I can't stop laughing... It's all Aaron Mcgruder's Boondocks fault. He made a really funny joke about that show on one of the banned episodes of the Boondocks....... I can't help but to feel like a real A-hole laughing at it....

@judasnixon: have you seen it though? the art just looks so good!

@dangallant984: I really can't watch it without laughing. Like I said The Boondocks ruined that whole show for me in less than five second. I remember the very little I saw of the show the art was pretty good for a motion comic.....

Here are the stories I would love to see as a direct to video animated movie:

1. The Dark Phoenix Saga - the 90s series was pretty good, but I would like to see the original version of it into an animated movie

2. God Loves, Man Kills - since this story was pretty short, it would definitely make a great animated movie!

3. Mutant Massacre - I really enjoyed this story and it would be a great introduction to the Age of Apocalypse storyline!

4. Joss Whedon's run on Astonishing X-Men - Fantastic run and I definitely would love to see it fully animated, even though the motion comics are pretty good.

Messiah complex!! 4 part series 1 hr each episode. 3 chapters in each DVD and 4 on the last one.
Dark Phoenix saga
and X-cutioners song! This would be so great.

@Jmush: Thanks!

@spinningbirdcake: God Loves... cover feature?! Fantastic ....Excellent Idea! Really great story! Was a defining point to be certain. Animated Morrison? Oh please god no, just the thought makes me grab the Pepto. So pass on that one.

@Imperius_Rex: X-Cutioners Song would be really good but tricky to pull off. I think it would have to be a 24 episode series to properly work myself.

@dangallant984: Actually X-Factor's Fall Of The Mutants (Battle of Manhattan) saga would be a a REALLY good stand alone move.

Avengers vs X-Men just cause the action would be sweet.

I would love to see "God Loves, Man Kills" just because there is so much opportunity to elevate the X-Men property into more than it currently is.

For pure action possibilities and to give the X-Men a chance to show off? Operation: Zero Tolerance.

Dark Angel Saga or Final Execution

@chasereis: Haha well whoever is adapting it could take "poetic liberties" to make it an easier viewing. I won't argue with that though.

The original Phoenix Saga (Not the X-men TAS version) or Executioner's Song would be good I think

I'd love to see one of Fatal Attractions. To me it was a great storyline and would make a great film since its not too particularly long.
