    the xmen movies have at least 3 continuities. the xmen triology, xmen origins wolverine, first class are exist in a different universe from each other. none of them can really fit the avengers/ironman/thor/cap/hulk world.

    it just seems too impossible to get the xmen into the avengers

    They'd have to reboot X-men into the Avengers world.
