The X-Men are a superhero team of mutants founded by Professor Charles Xavier. They are dedicated to helping fellow mutants and sworn to protect a world that fears and hates them.
What should happen to Wolverine and the X-Men
New Writer and change the name. I never want to see a Wolverine top billing the X-Men again.
Same
Change everything! The writer, the artist, the characters, the title, everything, change it all......
I'm borderline stuck between options 1 and 2. I would love to see the title succeed and give it a new writer and artist. Then again, I feel like it's lost all hope and Marvel should just cut their losses and cancel. Keep it all in ANXM and leave it to Bendis. Oh, dear God, I can't believe I said that...
I think sacking the man is not a good idea. I currently love Aaron's Thor: God of Thunder. Soo.....
He could be kicked off of X-Men and still continue to write Thor. Marvel does it all the time.
@phoenixofthetides: I agree, I think that the syntax of the poll needs to be revised. As it stands, it sounds as if the vote is for sacking Aaron all together; rather than sacking him from the X-Men.
On a tangent, however, I hope that Brian Woods can bring a better light to the x-verse
This title is just awful. Everything about it sucks: it's not just Aaron's abysmal writing.
Sentence:
BOOK DEATH
Lose the obnoxious title. It worked for spider man and his amazing friends but this is so commercialistic, it gag's me out the door. Beyond that it seems rather aimless. The o5 have their own book. Make it all about kid apocalypse, omega, and gladiator, (wow do they really have 3 'kids'), and they can lunchtime brawl with the kid hellfire club
Change the writer. It's got the potential to be such an amazing title, but idek what Aaron's problem is.
Cancel this title, since there's already "All New All Different X-Men" out there and create a new title that actually focuses on the students.

Cancelling ANXM would actually be a better choice. For the sake of it.
I'm enjoying ANXM, so far, but it does seem like these two books mixed up their jerseys in the locker room, since WatX-men is (at least) actually about new characters. Well, has new characters in it.
I do think it's worth pointing out that "change nothing, I'm enjoying this book" was not an option in this poll. Surely this book has some fans.
I had been enjoying everything up to the circus brainwashing. That arc was a little weird for X-Men standards. And unfortunately I'm not seeing enough character development among the students in the Savage Land arc, I'm beginning to wonder what the point is. To the extent that I might drop the title and pick up something else, but I loved everything pre-AvX (and the Doop issue). If Aaron is struggling for fun stories that harken back to the first few volumes, then he needs to get back in gear. Or Marvel should put someone else that's great on the title.
So I voted change the line-up. Less focus on Wolverine, more on the students that make up the school. Bring them to the forefront and make the title fun again.
@oldnightcrawler: Lol. Cancelling would be the better option for me. And it does have fans, but so little, and they're an unhinged few.

haha! well, I could take it or leave it (although I have been liking it more and more lately), so I won't take that personally.
But I do have friends who count it as their favorite of the current X-books, and, though they have some wacky tastes, I've never had reason to question their sanity. In either case, I'm sure some people would've voted for it to remain the way it is.

Hmmmm, evidence would suggest otherwise.

Indeed. Bit of a biased poll I think. For me, it's a so-so title that's always enlivened by Bradshaw when he is on art duties (tho the circus arc was too far for me, even with Bradshaw).

The circus arc was a low point, to be sure. Bradshaw's hit or miss for me anyway, and his art did nothing to help that story, in my mind.
That said, prior to AvsX, I was pretty into this book. Then there was the Doop story (issue 17), and I started to think it could be good again. Then came the circus arc which I thought sucked, and I almost dropped it, but issue 24 was fun, so I stayed on. I didn't like the issue about Wolverine's brother (26), but otherwise I think the latest arc (25-28) was decent; so, overall, I'd say that, after much inconsistency, this series has started getting better again.
Thing is, I think everyone realized right away that this book wasn't for everyone. I haven't liked every issue or every arc, but every issue's had something I liked. And there are some elements that do nothing for me, but I see others appreciating. So, given that it's main theme is being, well, quirky, I think it's largely a matter of individual taste over actual quality.
Everyone knows that this is the book that embraces the really silly side of the X-men that's often been glossed over or ignored, and most X-fans appreciates at least some part of that, yet it's that quality that is most often criticized about the book.
Anyway, yeah, I do think this poll is unfairly presumptuous. But whatever.

Bias of my love for this book, save the AvX and Circus arc, aside, I agree with this. Why they feel the need to have so many dopplegangers, I will never know. Hopefully the X story arc during the fall will solve this.
@daycrawler: Evidence of what ?
Maybe if and when Wolverine dies this book will too. Or perhaps just be re-titled and given a new creative team. I wonder if they will come up with a new adjective for it.
@daycrawler: Evidence of what ?
That the book has few fans. And that they are unhinged. I'm extremely well hinged thank you very much.
Cancel it. Or change it into a book that focus solely on the students (the real ones, no the O5) of the JGS. Give them some real development, not just for Quentin, but also the rest. Take Wolverine out of the picture, FOREVER, give Rachel a chance to shine for once, present a little more of the staff aside from Kitty, Wolvie and Storm.

I can.

I like the book -- just want more focus on the students since there's nothing out there where they are the focus (and I am talking about old and new students -- thank goodness Bendis doesn't have his hands on this title.)
Keep it around -- it'll get better once they realize it's the students that matter to the readership (mostly).

Definitely agree with this! There really needs to be an X-Title that actually focuses on the students for once and not on the same characters in every book. It feels like the students have been thrown to the side ever since "New X-Men" ended its run.
