Hey everyone!

SPOILERS IF YOU HAVEN'T BEEN KEEPING UP WITH RECENT READINGS!

So it's been a couple of months since Uncanny X-Men relaunched their series, and Wolverine and the X-Men comics came out, I just wanted to see a general discussion going on about what you guys think about the new issues coming out, (including X-Men Legacy, X-Men, Generation Hope & the New Mutants).

Uncanny X-Men

Alright, so I've been liking the new Uncanny X-Men. I wasn't that big of a fan of the Sinister plot, if anything it confused me a bit and I think it was just there to bring in an old villain so we'd feel a good familiarity with the comic. I'm not too big on Hope being with the X-Tinction team and having her own team with Generation X, but I guess she's being portrayed as the new big guns so she's got to be shown in every different series, lol. ^_^

Wolverine and the X-Men

I REALLY wanted to like this series just because I love a handful of the characters who decided to stick with Wolverine's team, but I'm sadly not really liking the most recent issues. I did enjoy how Apocalypse joined the team (as a child) and I actually wanted to keep reading mostly because I wanted to see his interaction with the students, but the whole Kitty Pryde being pregnant thing is just ridiculous and I bought the last two or three issues that had to deal with it and I honestly didn't bother finishing the issues. I was just hoping to see more of a Student interaction with Wolverine and the X-Men comics, just because X-Men Legacy has to deal with the older characters and it seems like Wolverine and the X-Men is just a waste.

X-Men Legacy

Love, love, love the recent issues of X-Men Legacy, especially the one that came out this week. I'm actually really glad that Rogue called Utopia for help and I'm glad that Exodus made his point at the end of the issue that they're stronger as a whole, not split up. ALSO I love that we got to hear Dust speak for once and explain why she choose to stay on Utopia and I just love Rogue's on going confrontation with Wolverine! Haha.

New Mutants

Always have and always will love the New Mutants issues, it's a really good read and is a lot more fun and not as serious as the other X-Men series going on right now, I love the fun art being used and I loved the "Date with the Devil" issue, its a fun read and I like that it's not so chaotic and crazy like the other X-Men series right now.

Uncanny X-Force

REALLY enjoyed the whole Dark-Angel Saga thing that was going on, I never got into Uncanny X-Force before that, and now that that story arc is done I'm not really interested in the books, haha.

Generation Hope

Love this team, even though I dislike Hope (as a person) haha, I really enjoy the other character, I'm really glad that we get to see Pixie interact with mutants her age, and have a little romance action going on. It kind of shows that even though their being trained to be soldiers they're still trying to live their life!

SOOOOOO!

Now that I'm done making my two cents, what do you guys think about the comics so far! Let me know and lets get a discussion going on what kind of things we'd like to see, or what thing we DON'T want to see happen in the future! And if you want to write about X-Factor (which I don't read anymore) talk about that! Let's get things rolling.... (it's nice to see something else other than the Take a Point, Add a Point thread :P haha)

Uncanny X-Men

It's doing pretty good so far. Gillen's managed to impress me these past couples of months starting fromthe Phalanx issue, it was amazing. Tabula Rasa was good too, we haven't exactyl been getting any of those event's that happen in title A have repercussions in title B thing, it was nice to see Gillen play on that and i hope to see him on this title for many years to come, Fraction's just a complete no no.

Wolverine and the X-Men

Love it. Words cannot exactly describe how much love i have for this book. It brings back the Xavier Institue For Higher Learning feel and that's something we haven't got since Messiah CompleX and Utopia. My only problem would be that not enough of the students who actually attend the school get enough panel time, granted, i do like that Kida Gladiator, KO, Broo, Oya and Genesis are getting the attention that they deserve because they're great characters. Moving onto what was before, Schism was supposed to be an event dealing with the next Generation of mutants, stupid. The next Generation of mutants hardly got a say on the matter, now that Schism's over they're STILL getting shifted into the background, even Generation Hopes not cutting it which is why that lame title is getting the boot. Still, i love the title nonetheless.

X-Men Legacy

Still missing Carey. So far everything's good but that kiss between Gambit and Frenzy was completely uncalled for and caused unneccassary gossip. Not to mention, i don't even see Gambit's relevance on this team anymore seeing as how they're not exactly making any use for him and Rogue for some reason is dating that old sod. I just don't get it. The art is FAR too goofy for my liking, glad it;s changing abit in the Weapon Omega and Mimic story arc, it's most recent issues was really good though, I was always intrigued as to why Dust sided with Cyclops instead of with her friends and she made it quite clear, the majority of Recruits who showed up spoke their minds to Rogue and it was very enlightening to see.

New Mutants

Stopped reading this after the Fear Itself arc.

Uncanny X-Force

The art made me lose interest in this book for some reason, i just don't feel like it's the art this type of book really needs.

Generation Hope

After Idie left (my favorite light out of them all) I alway said I'd leave, now that its getting cancelled i decided to read up on the events leading to the final battle. It was a good book, IMO, to start off with but after Regenesis the underusement of younger characters living on Utopia was quite annoying, Pixie for one does NOT need as much screen time as she gets even if she is a teleported, i hate the way she goes around boasting about being an X-Man and that recent Generation Hope issue was not amusing.

X-Men

One of the only titles that i actually look forward to on wednesdays. Gishler's writing is weak and the Vampire antics are getting old but I've still managed to find myself impressed by the stories. The Regenesis arc was pretty good, not as powerful as it could of been but i liked it nonetheless. Being a Storm fan i love the fact that she's leading the Secruity Recon Team and how Psylockes Second in Command of it (though this was an aspect that was only shown in the Regenesis arc, Open Contract is a different story), Warpath and Colossus I'm not so sure about, Warpath could be done a lot more justice than what's currently happening to him now, Colossus  has literally just being bashing big things out of his way for the past two issues, the only people i see character developement happening with is Jubilee, Domino and Storm, the rest are just collateral damage in most cases. I'm hoping the new Skrull arc will change that.

I think you missed the point at what Wolverine and the x-men is about.

Love every minute of UXM & UXF. Even Greg Land's art seems to have gotten better.

I use to like the story arcs in Legacy prior to schism. It had the same quality of X-Factor to me where it was able to tell its own stories and not have it be bogged down with current X dramas. Now i'm just reading it just because I hope it can get back to that status.

Hate New Mutants & Generation Hope. They feel like a waste of time to me. I did like the date with the devil storyline but that was it. I wish the NM were a bit more hardcore and not so goofy though. Cannonball needs to come back and lead this team to be what it was suppose to be and not just mope around. They were suppose to be the next great team of X-Men. On Generation Hope's side, I wish everyone would just stab themselves in the eye. As far as i'm concerned, there should not have been anymore new mutant births if this is what we're getting.

X-Factor is just great. Just wish the art would be more consistent throughout the entire series. Peter David makes me care about characters that I would normally not even think twice about

Love Uncanny X-Force and Wolverine and The X-Men. The most recent arc of Uncanny X-Force hasn't been that great, though.

Marvel should just cancel New Mutants. LET IT DIE.

All I can comment on is Uncanny X-men because it's the only thing I found remotely appealing. It's been awesome, loved every issue so far.
