bar those who have before, who could write the X-Men comic the franchise needs? Geoff Johns (Just imagine the obscure character's he could make badass), Gail Simone (Just imagine Gail Simone on the upcoming X-Men title....)
Got any ideas?

@chasereis: yeah, I know you aren't a fan of his New X-men run (or him), but I still think at least the first half of it was pretty good.
@dangallant984: I was going to send you a vintage uncanny x-men #8 (9.8) near mint with a single spine crease, but you've betrayed our holy order. I must now send ninjas on pixy sticks to your house. We thank you for your sacrifice for the greater good, DG. You will be remembered with honor in our hallowed halls.
or to say seriously, meeehhhhhhh.....
Gail Simone working with Dazzler, Banshee (Theresa), Northstar and Aurora. Have them do anything, and I will most likely be entertained. I like her writing style.

X-Women, by Gail Simone. Just imagine it, and what about is Morrison ever comes back, he should do Deadpool
Seconded.

I think a lot of it was good too but TC says bar those that came before for good reason. Morrison pretty did his ultimate X-Men story, we know exactly where we are at with him.
@DurararaFTW: okay, seriously then, I'd love to see J.H.Williams III (Promethea, Batwoman) take a stab at writing and drawing Legion's story in X-men Legacy. That would interest me.
Scott Snyder if it was a solo book.
Gail Simone if it was a female lead/ female book.
Geoff Johns if you give him 8 years on X-Men.
GMorrison is leaving DC, no? Just like Brubaker's leaving Marvel? But anyway, it would work if his book wasn't rushed to much, and someone can keep a stable artist on the job.
John Layman - Deadpool. His grotesque comedy from Chew might seem to work well with Deadpool.
I would add Neil Gaiman or Jeff Lemire, but they work better in horror/ dark-fantasy genres, which the X-Men is far, far away from. But thanks to X-Men Legacy with Legion, I'm sure the two writers could take a book like so and turn it to the darkest, grimmest book available. Add J H Williams III art and damnit, I'm sold.
