Lol since no one seems really into these Secret Wars tie-ins i was wondering what old X-books people are rereading or planing to read in the time between now and September.
So-
What are you rereading?
What would you like to read that you haven't?
and
What do you think others should read to bide the time?
X-Men
Team » X-Men appears in 13419 issues.
The X-Men are a superhero team of mutants founded by Professor Charles Xavier. They are dedicated to helping fellow mutants and sworn to protect a world that fears and hates them.
What are you REreading...June 2015
I'm currently reading Cable vol 1. for the first time and I can say without a shadow of a doubt 2 things. 1) Cable has guns. 2) Cable likes his guns.
Otherwise i'm trying to track down some of my missing Bendis issues which are....somewhere.
Recommending something off my head...X-treme X-Men or Claremont's last Uncanny run. There both a bit heavy on the Storm wank, but are never really talked about and something i want to get back around to.
I have been rereading all the valiant stuff, and reading all the old valiant stuff. Uh, i just re read Alan Moore's Swamp Thing collection.
Lol rebel..
Valiant always feels like homework to figure out where to start....moreso then most independents are. A specific recommendation from those?
@adamtrmm:Oh yea, Harbinger's been recommended to me before but i continually forget it exist. Maybe i should actually write it down somewhere...because Cable so far hasn't hit the stride...but he likes guns though.
@sprior93- I'd read X-Factor over Morrison just because it's more consistent and contained. Plus in my experience..Morrison just makes you very critical of everything you read afterwards. (Like "Why doesn't spiderman save money on fabric by making his suit one color" level of critical)
@koays: Yeah, it's been a long time since I've read Morrison's run, and I don't remember that much -- maybe it's best if I let myself forget.
X-Factor it is then.
I've been rereading the Outback X-Men run...... Early 200s....
good stuff ;)
Yea I recently reread Morrison and saw even more evidence of why I hated it. I'm currently on the Valiant stuff and I'm rereading Whedons Astonishing. I plan on also rereading the Academy X stuff and Xforce and Uncanny Xforce.
But really I'm seriously contemplating whether this is the time for me to gracefully bow out when it comes to comics
@hawk2916: Gracefully? Go out kicking and screaming, or just switch to a better publisher ;)
Crisis on Infinite Earths, Thor: Ragnarok, Chaos War Series, Beta Ray Bill: Godhunter, Infinity, Secret Wars and SW Battleworld.
Leaving heavily Marvel right now for some reason.

Totally Harbinger. Both Shadowman and Harbinger is what got me into Valiant in the first place. But yeah, I would recommend the newest 2012 series of Harbinger over the 1992 series. The art isn't as good, but the writing is so much better. Also if you are reading the lastest Harbinger vol, I would also read, in tandem, because of the crossover, Bloodshot (2012). You can read most, if not all, the Valiant stuff for $8.99 on comicsfix.com.
I am a little biased because I think everything they do is amazing.
Oh! Also checkout "They're Not Like Us" from Image. Really solid.

I've read everything till Harbingers War crossover with Bloodshed and that's where I decided I'll have to get myself reading it as well, and since I really couldn't get into BS with the first issue I kind of dropped the whole thing. But I will get there at some point, just not currently, cause my frustration with comics is too heavy for quite some time now...
What I was saying, this 10 Harbinger issues I've read already are truly dam worth the time and you should definitely give it a chance.
Re-reading New X-Men: Academy X Vol. 1: Choosing Sides, it sure brings back a lot of memories and lost potential. Definitely the X-Book that got me deep into X-men and contains my favorite mutant, Julian Keller, aka Hellion.
Edit: I didn't realize the thread was for June 2015... oops.

Me too!
@bababoom: Lol dates mean nothing considering nothing's changed since I made the thread. No ones talking about the tie-ins, but even if we were I'd never stop someone from talking about the Awesomeness of Academy X and the New X-Men.
@Hopesummersforthefuture Matt fraction?
you know x-men vs osborn, sisterhood, emma gets the black void out of her head

Oh...
Lol the way you wrote it I'm thinking there's a comic about Matt Fraction's life that has 3 Vol.'s to it
