I thought about this because I think that Rihanna would play an excellent younger, late teen age storm. What do you think?

I agree with Rihanna. Especially when she had the light blonde mohawk and had that punk-like edgy stage. It was like 80s Storm! :D And Rihanna is a decent actress from what I have seen.

Zoe is pretty and all. I just find her as another Halle, IMO.

I would choose Rosario over Zoe any day. She was horrible in Colombiana. Then again the movie was really bad, dont think anyone would have made that movie better.

I think Meagan Good looks the part. Not too sure about her acting thoug

Even Paula Patton would make a good Storm. Her fight scenes in MI4 Ghost Protocol were amazing.

I would love to see Thandie Newton play as Storm she can act too, I wanted her over Halle Berry in the trilogy too.

Thandie Newton is too short. Halle was short, too, but if they are going to recast the movie, I'd prefer they get a woman at least above average height. Storm is 5'11 - it's not that hard to find an actress in Hollywood who is between 5'10 and 6'0. They could also find a beautiful unknown to play her and at least match those stats. Height is really important: Marsden was shorter than Jansen, and it made shooting scenes with both Jean and Cyclops in the same shot harder, since she was a few inches taller than him - generally, people are used to seeing the man and woman at least equal in height or the man being slightly taller.

Oh yeah the height totally forgot about that, but I wouldn't want storm towering over everyone. Hollywood doesn't know how to cast people besides she can wear platform boots if they really wanted the height.

I don't think that they should have Storm in the movie at all.

First of all the fact that she was in the first movie "allegedly" is an isult to Halle Berry, the movie is set in 1962 which is roughly 38 years before the first X-men movie and because the little girl is about ten years old they're saying that Halle Berry looks to be about 48 years old in the first X-men movie... I would find that insulting.

Though I do like where this discussion is comming from, I would very much like to see them having the teenage versions of Cyclops, Storm, Jean in the third movie and possibly even teenage Wanda and Pietro.

I'd go with Zoe Saldana too. She's a great actress and could bring far more power and presence to the role than Halle did. I thought she was a fairly horrible Storm.

I actually liked Halle Berry in the x-men films.. I think under singer's direction they did her quite well, x-men 1 she had a closer Kenyan accent and in x-men 2 they brought in her leadership role. (you have to also remember she fought to get her character a more active role) People say she has an inflated ego because she wanted more screen time, but why does no1 complain about Robert Downey junior and his well documented editing of scripts he is given.

the thing I didn't like about 3 (apart from the fact it is an awful movie) was that they made her look like a man and far shorter than she did in previous movies. No joke, if you look at her in 1 and 2 she appears to be similar height to all the characters, but in 3 they screwed her costume design up. the short hair made her look silly, that and the fact it had grey roots was strange :S, they made her character stupid and well, that along with the fact the movie was diabolical doesn't really give you much chance to look like your any good.

Another thing that p****d me off about 3 was the removal of Nightcrawler. In 2 they managed to show a good relationship growing with him and storm but in 3 he wasn't there. Each character has had someone to bounce off in each film but storm didn't. Yes in 3 she had Xavier and wolverine, but that is because the rest of the x-men were vaporized.

If they were to show her as a teen i think i would like to see Zoe saldana simply because she was amazing in avatar.
