I´m just interested to hear, because Rogue and Gambit were my favorite characters back in during the animated series, I really wish more had been done with them movie wise. I loved Wolverine as well, but I always related more to the slick guy who got all the chicks, rather than the loner, scarily obsessed with a married woman. Just interested what you think.
X-Men
Team » X-Men appears in 13416 issues.
The X-Men are a superhero team of mutants founded by Professor Charles Xavier. They are dedicated to helping fellow mutants and sworn to protect a world that fears and hates them.
Were you a Gambit guy or a Wolverine guy, back in the era of TAS?
At the time, I was more interested in Wolverine even though I really enjoyed Gambit's character during that time.
Gambit's accent in that show was horrible!!!
It was a mix of french and cowboy
Also definently gambit ! Wolverine was also great.
Wolverine for me.....
He was awesome on that show. He saved the day constantly and had the best lines. I fail to see what was so interesting about Gambit. Because he spoke in the third person??
I was a Jean Grey guy, even though she had a lot of dizzy spells and always felt into the damsel in distress role, but I liked her voice actress, her dynamic power set and seeing her and Scott be romantic with each other.
If I had to choose between the two you offered, I'd go with Gambit. He's tall, suave and fought with gymnastics/acrobatic moves which I was too awkward to pull off. Also, I think claws are a stupid weapon and I never saw what was so useful about Wolverine despite getting all the best lines and etc. Gambit may do his own thing at times but he wasn't rude and did things with style. Wolverine just said a one liner with "bub." on the end with the annoying 'snikt' sound accompanied by the flash of light.

He was just more relaxed, funny and cool, and he was more of a thinker badboy, unlike wolverine, who just rushed into a fight without thinking it out, Gambit had strategies, played sides. That is until they watered him down and it became basically the wolverine show, just like the movies. Guess what? when they did that the show went to shit and the movies were crap, never living up to the cartoon.
I was more of a Gambit guy, i actually got into shuffling cards thanks to him :p Though my aim with throwing cards still sucks.
That show is what started it all for me. I was a Gambit & Rogue guy. I loved Rogue's southern sassiness, and the romatic endeavors between the two characters. I didn't like Wolverine because he just came off cocky (a little too cocky for my taste), Cyclops wasn't fit in my eyes to lead the X-Men (he was too emotionally tied to Jean and not the team), Jubilee was pretty cool...not my favorite, Storm's weather chants made her seem corny, and Jean Grey was the worst of them all (she was always fainting, and just felt very mary-sueish). Of course I don't feel this way about most of those characters now, but I'm just speaking in terms of the show.
