Considering that they're still very much using a lot of characters that are going to be in the movies that really doesn't hold much water.

Here are characters that will be featured in new books post Secret Wars that have been or will be starring in future Fox films.

• Old Man Logan (Rumors have been saying Jackman's last movie is something a kin to Old Man Logan)

• Magneto (Wildly popular in the films and will be in X-Men Apocalypse)

• Mystique (Wildly popular in the films will be in X-Men Apocalypse)

• Young Cyclops (There will be a young Cyclops in X-Men Apocalypse)

• Young Iceman/Iceman (Appeared in DOFP)

• Young Angel (Will be in X-Men Apocalypse)

• Young Jean (Will be in X-Men Apocalypse)

• Young Beast/Beast (Apart of the films now and will be in X-Men Apocalypse)

• Psylocke (Will be in X-Men Apocalypse)

• Nightcrawler (Will be in X-Men Apocalypse)

• Storm (Will be in X-Men Apocalypse)

• Colossus (Will be in Deadpool)

• Deadpool (Will be in Deadpool)

• Thing (Was in Fant4stic)

• Human Torch (Was in Fant4stic)

• Sabretooth (Talks about him being in the next Wolverine movie)

So yeah the truth of the matter is they're just promoting Inhumans more, they may not be pushing the mutants as hard but it sure isn't because of Fox especially when roughly 2/3s of the comics featuring mutants are the ones that Fox is using/planning to use and they'll be there post Secret Wars.

Personally I for one am glad the Inhumans are getting a push they've been around for a long time and they haven't really been used all that much. So as far as I'm concerned beefing up their presence and getting their faces out there to the public is a good thing.

Promoting the Inhumans is fine. They are interesting. But trying to put them in the Xmens place or corner of the Marvel universe is the problem. Sure they've been around a long time and should get development but do they really need to be on earth and playing the hated and feared thing. I hope they don't go in that direction. In fact I liked what Fraction was supposed to be doing with them playing up a Game of Thrones type theme

What is so bad about that?? You know, because characters like Cyclops and Beast have only been around for the short time span of like 50 years and have never got any limelight (/sarcasm) and Cable struggles to stay relevant. .

Also a good thing. Less books means tighter storytelling. I think 9 out of 10 people will tell you that the X-Men were at their best in the 80s when they only had two books and a single writer had most of the control, and when a third book came along it was tangential at best. Quantity does not equate quality, X-Men fans should know that better than anyone.

Of course there are. The Inhumans are two years out from having their own feature film that will no doubt lead to cartoons, toys, and all that other merchandising crap. They have to generate interest. They can't just have one series with a bunch of unknown characters.....Marvel will push them into the spotlight more and more in the coming years. I mean, it's not like the X-Men have never "appropriated" other franchises before, *cough* Dazzler , *cough* Spiral, Longshot and Mojo.

I don't mind Marvel promoting the Inhumans. But I dislike Marvel trying to replace the X-men with the Inhumans, just because of the movie rights

4. Rogue and Deadpool are the Mutants of Uncanny Avengers
5. Kitty Pryde is GotG because Star Lord´s relationship which started befored Secret Wars.
6. 5 Inhumans Book? There are only Uncanny Inhumans and All-New Inhumans, Karnak and Ms. Marvel.
7. Should complain more about Spider-titles than Inhumans since Marvel gave too much Spider solo characthers tittles and could be used for better tittles.
8. We dont know much Emma Frost or Cyclops but doesnt mean they wont show up in X-Titles.
9. Just because Rogue and Kitty Pryde are different teams doesnt mean they wont show in X-Titles.
10. Latelly X-Men werent written as good as previous years, unlikely Inhuman which is almost how X-Men were in good years.
11. That team pose is pretty generic and lot of teams have that type of pose. Hell i already saw something like that in DC and Marvel titles.

Ofcourse they won't just completely phase the X Men out, it's consistantly one of their top 10 selling titles. However, the fact is that in the past year, they have been utilized less and less: Wolverine and Deadpool are dead, and even their comic sales are down (besides Old Man Logan, they don't have a single book in the top 10). The fact is that for the past 2 years, comics sales have gone down and they have been utilized less. And I honestly don't think it's some coincidence, seeing as the SAME thing is happening to FF.

@petey_is_spidey: But the characters are still very much apart of the universe (There were people saying that Marvel was gonna separate them with Secret Wars) and most of the characters that are appearing in the new movies are starring in the new books post Secret Wars. Same goes with the FF. They may not be in a FF book but they are starring in other titles (Johnny with Inhumans, Ben with Guardians, and maybe Sue will continue her work with SHIELD).

You also failed to mention Deadpool who is appearing in a number of titles and he's getting a movie next year. Marvel could have taken this time to use completely different or underused mutants they didn't they chose characters that are directly tied to the movies. Plus Reed seems to be the biggest player opposite Doom in Secret Wars.

Also the last time a main X-Men title was in the top 10 was March 2014. The rest after that have either been events (Axis, Death of Wolverine) or tie-ins to events (Old Man Logan and X-Men '92).

Even if they are from fox they are Marvel characters and they gave it to Marvel a premium start Just with comics and the animated series, they should be including in all comic Marvel universe ;)

I tend to agree that Disney is purposely wrecking havoc on the Fox properties. The Fantastic Four has been completely dismantled (and Marvel really did not need to destroy the comics, as the movie completely bombed, which we all knew would happen), and the mutants have been moved to a whole new setting so they don't have to mix with the Disney properties. Disney Infinity - no X-Men yet? Wolverine & Deadpool? My guess is these two are so popular, Disney still makes a pretty penny on merchandise. Gambit? Now would be the time to make a big push, as the solo movie is just over a year away, but he's not even in a book. I think Marvel is going to take a hit in comic sales. What few X-books are of very little interest to many, and the Inhumans are just not the X-Men. I'm one who is passing completely, eagerly awaiting the next new Marvel universe.
