So what you want is people favourite X-Men runs without any X-Force or X-Factor titles and I supposed any solo titles too.

    Ok here are mine

    1) X-Men (1991) (Fabian Nicieza/Chris Claremont), Blue team.

    2) The Uncanny X-Men (1991)(Scott Lobdell), Gold Team.

    3) Astonishing X-Men (1995) (Scott Lobdell) (Age of Apocalypse).

    4) Chris Claremont's Uncanny X-Men (1980's)

    5) X-Treme X-Men (2001) Chris Claremont.

    1. Claremont's 1980-86 run on The Uncanny X-Men, from Dark Phoenix Saga to the end of the Mutant Massacre.

    2. Whedon and Cassaday's 2004-08 run on Astonishing X-Men, from Gifted to the end of Unstoppable.

    3. Scott Lobdell's 1993-95 run from The Uncanny X-Men #297 -Songs End to #319 - Untapped Potential

    4. Grant Morrison's 2001- run on New X-Men #114 - E is for Extinction Part One to #142 - Brimstone & Whiskey

    5. mm.. really digging on Bendis' Uncanny X-Men (vol.3), Wood's X-Men (vol.4), and Latour's Wolverine & the X-Men (vol.2) at the moment; while it's too early to consider any of them among my favorite runs, I like them all better than most of what's come between '08 and now.
