    X-Men

    Team » X-Men appears in 13415 issues.

The X-Men are a superhero team of mutants founded by Professor Charles Xavier. They are dedicated to helping fellow mutants and sworn to protect a world that fears and hates them.

    This....is pretty mindblowing

If you are a fan of the X-Men books of the very late 80s into the early 90s, right before Chris Claremont was forced out, then you know the guy left a lot of really convoluted and aberrant plot lines dangling. Then when Jim Lee, Nacieza and Harras took control, they pretty much completely ignored them.

This guy proposes a very detailed idea of how pretty much all the events were connected. If you have a chance or the time, its quite an amazing estimation.

In fact I wouldn't bet it was too far off from what Claremont had planned seeing as the Shadow King was going to have some dominance over the Inner Circle and use Gateway to access dreamtime was actually what he had planned...its all in there along with:

The Outbacks HQs computer having sentience

Why Shadow King is obsessed with Storm to begin with.

    Storms mystical heritage

The N'Garais relation to just about everything

    Gateways history

    The Reavers relation to Gateway

He connects it all. Pretty good stuff, somebody give that guy a writing job.

I've read somewhere that Shadow King was actually supposed to commit biggest mutant genocide IIRC (what CN did in the end)

@emequious_swerve: Actually Claremont came back in 2009 with a series titled X-Men Forever which picks up right where he left off. The series is divided into two parts and runs for about 40 issues. Now it's hard to say if this is what he originally had planned since he was freed up from continuity and could therefore do just about whatever he wanted with the characters. However, I thought it was alot of fun, especially if you're a Claremont fan.

Yeah, exactly as you said, he was not apart of the continuity for a good ten years so some of his plot never were realized. If you read the article though it actually links all the stuff that was going on at that exact time at his time of departure.
