i know that the movies doesnt go by the comics, but usually after dark phoenix appears storm loses control, so shouldnt the next x-men movie be about storm losing control or atleast jean being judged by the shi'ar??

That's a good plan. Make a completely random X-Men movie, not building upon the events of Fox's most recent and very successful addition to the franchise, based on stories only older/hardcore fans would be familiar with....... No. 
 
I, for one, hope the next X-Men movie acts as a sequel to the incredibly good First Class, looking at how Magneto develops his Brotherhood and how Xavier's school is fully established.
