Spam Accounts

Is there anyway to issue temporarily ban accounts that may have been hacked and are flooding certain boards with links? I say 'temporary' because it's possible the original owner isn't aware that their account i being used, and maybe their password was stolen by a bot they aren't aware of. If they are aware of this, they may elect to change their password, username or migrate to another profile. Opening a board and seeing 10 topics for sporting events that are burying topic specific posts is off-putting.

I think the problem is these spammers will just make another account and the spam will continue.
