Marvel is clearly against long term relationships.. So I don't care for any pairing right now when it comes to Scott unless they bring the real Jean back or reconcile him and Emma.

I think he should start spending time with his family and start a Summers clan X-team

Let Scott grow to have some confidence without Emma constantly backing him up

Let Emma grow to realize she's not the person she used to be without Scott having to remind her.

I'm a Scott/Emma fan, I've liked the two of them together and actually thought they improved each others characters. But if your going to split them up, actually do it and let them grow as characters from it. In terms of the romantic end of their relationship, UXM was basically a big "will they/wont they". While I did kind of enjoy it as a guilty pleasure, it was really just the same interactions they always had minus the sleeping together.

If they get back together down the road, great, reconciliation story arc. If they don't, well as long as it doesn't turn into yet another Jean/Scott/Emma triangle im fine.

Id personally say just keep them both single for a while.

Somewhere in the white hot room, Jean Grey is all LMAO at Emma frost.

This. This "official" break up just happened (even tho they've been broken up for 2 years). Give them some time and we still have 4 issues or so left of UXM to see what happens and where stuff leads to. For all we know, Scott and Emma could get back together, or they might hate each other even more. But let them be focused on as individual characters and not an obsessive need to have these characters paired with one another or someone else.

In my opinion it isn't a dialogue that leave room to a reconciliation.

@ec2277: It's not impossible and Emma even said he's conflicted and always will be. But it's also possible that Scott was just pushing people away to do his own thing.

especially with scott telling emma about the "i wouldnt touch you with namor's trident" comment and bendis is laughing his head of too cause he said it was the best line he wrote in a while :D jean grey fans rejoice everywhere......also jean is probably laughing that now emma regrets being with scott cause she said she wishes her powers were still broken so she could not hear scott's thoughts

Except for a few exceptions (Peter and MJ) I prefer my superheroes single, leave the soap operas for other media being a superhero is a lonely line of work.

@hopesummersforthefuture: Idk, the problem with having couples in stories is that people think that every story their in has to be about them being a couple. Emma and Scott probably did a little better because they spent as much time with other people getting used to their relationship as with them dealing with it.

If/when they were try a Scott/Jean pairing they'd do good to learn from that and just stop trying to do every single couple story they can. Besides they've pretty much done it all anyway.

I think he should stay single, go to jail, and pay for his crimes. He can't hide, run, or get away for ever. Well that's my opinion.

I think Scott should be single for now. He's been in a relationship most of his existence, he needs a little "me" time. But when he's ready to be an "us" again, that's when Marvel should revive the true Jean Grey and reunite them!

After reading UXM 32 i feel suspicious that marvel is going to send Cyclops out with a blaze of glory during Secret Wars, and honestly even as a Cyclops fan i feel he is not relationship material anymore (he has some serious issues when it comes to relationships), there is no point in reconciling with either Jean or Emma as its going to be unhealthy for all three parties involved and not to forget the inevitable annoying triangles that comes with it (Logan, Namor), if they really are gonna kill off Older Cyke during secret wars its better to start over with younger Cyke who no doubt has a better chance at having more healthier relationships than his older self so maybe a younger Cyke and a younger Jean have a better chance to work this time around ? without having to worry about the baggage of their older selves (If they are gonna stay that is) but if Remender is really taking over X-Men post Secret Wars then we may have to bid Bon-Voyage to the young Cyke/Jean ship as well.
