X-Men
Team » X-Men appears in 13419 issues.
The X-Men are a superhero team of mutants founded by Professor Charles Xavier. They are dedicated to helping fellow mutants and sworn to protect a world that fears and hates them.
Should there be an Age of X series
No. There is nothing wrong with a self-contained story.
Agreed. In fact, there's something nice about it. Can't get ruined.

also, I thought the whole point of Age of X was to show how taking the X-men in that direction ultimately paints them into a corner story-wise.
Save the alternate realities for Exiles. If they ever do that again. Age of X felt like some epic Rogue fanfic. I also didn't like how many of the characters were re-imagined or portrayed. And the aftermath of the event left little to no impact other than Cyclops knowing that Rachel and the Starjammers were in trouble. Nothing happened to Legion after that until he thankfully took over Legacy from Rogue. Hated that they killed off Tempo, and only Tempo. Didn't like that they restored Chamber, when he seemed to be much more interesting as Decibel. If anyone needed a reboot it would have been Jubilee, or Moonstar could have been repowered. And all the alternate relationships were random, just like most of Carey's pairing. I hate Carey's Legacy.
There are plenty of other alternate universes that deserve revisiting more than Age of X. It works better without anymore continuity anyway.
I enjoyed it and agree about the self contained story. Though, and I've said this before, I'd like to see someone (X-treme X-men's Cyclops, perhaps) take over the Basilisk persona in the 616
@kinghellion: Perhaps 616 can have it's own basilisk. It could be a clone of Cyclops or a new alter-ego entirely.

AGREE with all of this!! I hated how Tempo died. I hated how only Chamber got repowered when Moonstar played a bigger part than he did, I hated how Frenzy did this whole makeover after the event and tried to redeem herself only to now be forgotten. I hated how Dust was used in a creative way but then abandoned when reality got restored. I hated how depressing and unfulfilling this story was. I could go on...

Too much focus on Rogue for my liking, but it wasn't bad.
To answer the question put forth by the thread:
Yes, I would like to see more from the AoX universe, however, we know the whole thing was just a shallow construction, unlike AoA that was an entire reality in itself. Second to this, revisiting these realities usually isn't as great the second time around (see: AoA).
So, no, I'm happy to leave it as is. I wouldn't mind another ongoing alt. reality X-title, something new, maybe a book set in the future, but these usually don't last that long. Maybe something like X-Men: The End, could even be a mini-series.
Hahahaha!

This. While I liked AoX and I still think Basilisk is probably the most awesome version of Cyke ever. I still think that everything was wrapped as well as it was likely to get. Also I have to agree with papad1992 in that there was just a lot of bad choices surrounding the fallout of this thing. Liked unpowered Chamber better, Moonstar definitely should have been repowered, Frenzy's development arc should still be a thing, as should more well adjusted Legion, and I wish the Avengers kept the memories of that universe because Uncanny Avengers would definitely be a better book with that hanging around in everyone's skulls.
