The Nova Corps star looks pretty different than the symbol Dazzler's wearing.

the symbol changes all the time but look at ms. marvel's old costume it has the same star dazzler wears. Anyways i ask bendis about it and didnt get a response yet

Carol wears the star because it's the symbol of Captain Marvel, who came from the stars. The Nova Corps wear it for the same reason, to show that their dedication to their cause is intergalactic. It designates the characters as being part of an interplanetary force, the star representing outer-space, and having 8 points to signify travel (like a compass).

Dazzler wears the star for the same reason that Longshot (or Shatterstar) does: because she is a star. It was part of their characters that they were star performers, and both had their own series before joining the X-men or other teams.

The real question is, why did Monica Rambeau wear the 8-pointed star?

She did also call herself Captain Marvel, but she didn't know the other Captain Marvel and she was neither a star nor from outer-space.

So what's her deal?

We really don't need anymore Xmen leaving and running off to join other teams. That said I think putting Dazzler and her star with Nova corp is a reach at best

See the star on the shirt? That's the Nova Corps insignia. Note that it doesn't look much like the stars on the costumes you posted.

@squares: but i thought carol's new uniform was based off nova corps? i guess im wrong but i mean i wouldnt mind if dazzler was in nova corps. Also Dazzler is getting alot of attention lately, she was in shield, kidnapped and replace by mystique, etc.

Do Nova Corps recruit people with serious mental health issues ? If so then yes, they might recruit her.

@hopesummersforthefuture: That's not true. The symbol the Nova corps has is the splitting of an atom and Marvel has used variations of it for LOTS of characters over the years. The circles are also the symbol of the Nova corps the splitting of the atom is just something on the helmet but not their logo.

Not to mention The Nova Corps died with Richard Rider and the only Nova left is Sam Alexander because his Black Nova helmet allows him to bypass the limitations on using the Nova Force when it should be impossible to access after Rider's death. God I miss Richard Rider.

Dazzler might join nova corp..... Don't think so besides the corp is dead and marvel need to rekindle either the nova or the annihilators very soon, they need inter-galactic peace keepers.
