The X-Men are a superhero team of mutants founded by Professor Charles Xavier. They are dedicated to helping fellow mutants and sworn to protect a world that fears and hates them.

    Now there's a good use of telepathy ( UXM 6 Spoilers )

Now there's some really productive use of telepathy. Some really funny moments in the new team with the new students chickening out and needing the Cuckoos to make them "brave". No control like Jean did to Warren, just making the kids grow a pair of balls. Yeah I know the Jean supporters are gonna be up in arms about this, but w/e. Just shows how green this new team really is. And Cyke was a badass with his full-power shot at Dormammu.

In the scene where Magik tells them "The Demon Has power over me", Darkchylde looked quite funny. Like a Demon-marionnette clown or something haha.

And finally, Dazzler officially joins as an agent of SHIELD. And it's nice to know that even shield has not completely villified Cyke.

All-in-all a good issue. I found this more entertaining than the last ANXM issue. Bendis is getting the job done here. Nothing overly spectacular but good enough.

Don't forget the new mutant in Atlanta. Boring power (talking to machines), but a new character is a new character.

TBH seems like Cyke's schools is turning out to be the more fun out of the two schools.

Not the safer one, but surely the more fun one :D

@x_29 : well, They got sucked into the Abyssal realm, got attacked by a Demon Army, got the Cuckoos to literally make them "brave", a new mutant is shown who can CONTROL AUTOMOBILES ( we got apotential Formula One World Champion here), DAZZLER joins SHIELD.

So I think a bit more than barely anything happened. At least alot more happened than the last ANXM issue lol.

Technopathy is quite a cool power, the problem is that there are plenty of Technopaths now, two who were introduced just a little while ago in Avengers Arena. So I want to see if Bendis gives him something to differentiate himself from the others.

Anyways, aside from that, I know they had to introduce Dazzler again, but I don't want to read more of S.H.I.E.L.D in Uncanny, I wanted more action, and we got barely a couple of pages. I wanted to see more of the fight with the new recruits. :/

But anyways, cool issue overall. The "X-Men Assemble" part made me smile.

Maria Hill decides to hire "fan-favorite mutant", and the x-men prepare to fight Dormammu. Thats it.

    @x_29:

    • X-Men react to being brought to limbo, encounter Dormammu, argue with him
    • Illyana attacks Dormammu
    • In the brief reprieve, she attempts to give them instructions for fixing the situation, but he takes over and prevents her
    • He rallies an army of demons to attack
    • Students flip out
    • Scott does something ridiculous and awesome
    • Cuckoos assess the situation, form a plan, and execute plan to encourage the students
    • X-Men rush into battle

You summed all that up as "X-Men prepare to fight Dormammu." I saw it as a variety of actions and actual changes in several characters' behaviors, knowledge, and/or perspective. Likewise Maria did more than recruit Dazzler. She talked with Coulson about the presence of the sentinel and revealed the existence of an anti-mutant contingency within S.H.I.E.L.D. about which even she does not know important details.

You also entirely ignored the part about how a new mutant emerged, most notable because for the first time Scott and co. aren't around to step in and potentially help him (which has been necessary in other cases because authorities/someone else always seems to show up just around the same time).

This was by far a more eventful issue than you are giving it credit for.

I don't think that's a boring power. Think about how much of the world is tech and machines at this point. Nearly limitless potential for what you can do with it, depending on how the power works and what the situation is.

@mercy_: He pretty much vanished during AvX. But then again, a lot of underused X-Men did, just to remain in limbo after the dust settled.

Well not all powers need to be WOW ZOMG WHAM SPLAT all the time. This guy's power is more beneficial to the team for it's utility as a techie, than to readers as a source of action.
