Yep. Because mutants have always been an allegory for racism and bigotry. And look at how racism is fixed: People grow up with it, learn that these people are similar to themselves, not different freaks, and bigotry becomes less and less prevalent until it's isolated to a few extremists.
We've already seen evidence of this with the O5's presence in the timeline: In their time, Snowboy was lynched after using his powers. In the current Marvel Universe, Young Mccoy stops a robber from stealing from a girl his age, and she thinks it's cool. We see further evidence of this: Kids these days in the Marvel Universe don't mind mutants. Now granted, they were New York kids, so they're probably a bit more used to superhumans and their like than in other parts of the world, but still.
Take into account Janet van Dyne's plans to turn mutants into merchandise, get people more in tune with them culturally, and that time table will likely be accelerated. All the mutants have to do is weather the storm until the current generation is old enough to take over, and they're set.
