Bendis is writing both All New X-Men, and Miles Morales: Ultimate Spider-Man, but the fact that they exist in different universes would normally deter any possibility of a crossover. Guess that isn't stopping him.

@feartheliving: I have no idea. There actually is already a 616 Morales, but the Morales on the cover is wearing Ultimate Spider-Man's costume. Your guess is good as mine.

@squares: Yeah, at the end of "Trial of Jean Grey." He went off to have dumb (and awesome) space adventures with his dad, Corsair. Now that story is being covered in his own ongoing, "Cyclops."

I feel like my title is just too ridiculous to even believe. Hence the lack of posts in here. I know for a fact there is more than 5 people on this site that would care about this news. Lol.

@jaken7: I saw this earlier and, to be honest, I think it's a very cool idea. What I'm wondering is whether or not it'll be permanent. I mean, Miles is pretty important to the UU, so what would happen if he's permanently moved to 616?

@maddpanda531: Yeah, I'm not sure either. It could possibly be a temporary thing like with 616 Peter hanging out in the Ultimate Universe with Miles during Spider-Men, but who knows? It definitely spells doom for the Ultimate Universe if Miles is here to stay though. He's kind of been pushed as the poster boy for the entire relaunched line.

@jaken7: I'm thinking the same thing. Like, he'll be over for an arc, then go back home. Although I honestly wouldn't mind if he stayed.

Yeah, I feel like without Ultimate Spider-Man, the Ultimate line won't last much longer. He's always felt like the glue that holds the entire line together (Both Peter and Miles).

Well, its obviously not permanent because he's just started a huge arc in the Ultimate Spider-man books, and Miles Morales is one of the most important focus points of the Ultimate Universe. So lets put that thought away now.

A better question is: is this necessary? or is it a way for the Bendis to get an easy writing week by doing a quick meet and greet for two issues.

The All New X-Men, would be great if they could actually make a difference. They fought the purifiers and that was great, but then they went to space with the Guardians....and no one cared. Every other issue is about them finding out about another whacky part of their current time period before moving on and not discussing it again.

If the book would focus on them trying to make their future better, by taking on the things that make this future so unappealing (Anti-mutant hate groups, mutant experimentation, evil mutants) as well as the things that are unappealing about their personal futures (Beast mutation, Archangel, Jean's death, Cyclops downfall) this book would be great.

i hope its a 616 version, and hope that maybe hes a break out mutant (thanks to avx which didnt happen in ultimate u) and joins up for good, its character that bendis created and is good with and could add something different to a group that really needs to step away from being just a rehash of the original x men (thus why i liked X 23 addition and Cyclops exit)

@koays: Pretty sure your last paragraph actually describes what AnXM has been mainly about this whole time. Like, to a t. The Trial arc was all about Jean facing her future.

This is what I'm hoping. Be cool to see him have a bigger role in 616 even if he isn't the main spider-man I see no reason he could be on a team book like X-Men.

@jaken7: Partly because I named what I liked about it....the two big problems though are that things like the Trial, Bota, meet an greets with the Avengers teams...take up so much time focusing on other characters, and that they have never followed up on anything they learned about the future....meet Mystique, never go back after her.....meet the purifiers, ok let's go to space now!,....Cyclops is evil!!!, let's go live with him and never ask how he got this way

If this book would slowdown and explore these things one at a time instead of just doing an issue of greatest hits it would be great.

In all honesty I never really liked Corsair all that much. Not that I know a ton about him, he just never appealed to me as a character in any way whatsoever.

@squares: I have a soft spot for space pirates myself, but I get where you're coming from. He's never not looked like an intergalactic '70s pornstar dressed up as Hamlet, so there is that.

This is....ugghh. I gave up on the ultimate universe a long while back. I like all new x-men and this just makes me think Bendis is trying to force me to read miles morales just because. This just feels really forced. I hope it's a gag.

@koays: I think your idea as to what the book could and should be is a good one and at the very least would make the book tolerable. I still dislike the idea of having multiples of the same characters running around. But this book has had long enough and we still have zero impact. Adding Miles Morales just seems like a gimmick. I mean has Bendis even done anything with X23 yet?

@hawk2916: Adding Miles really is a gimmick, just like guest appearances, Phoenix illusions and make-out covers.
X-23(the poor girl) looked like she was building an interesting dynamic between her and kid Cyke at least....but that went out the window when Young Cyclops got a solo...so nope, he hasn't done a thing with her yet.

I was willing to get pass the premise, but this book hasn't explored one plot line it's introduced....now instead of fixing the characters, Bendis is going to take time to introduce them to another of his toys right after a 6 issue GOTG movie plug? yea.....but Wood gets taken off his book because of a bad ending

The travesty that Mr. Bendis is known for at its best. Never disappointing.

Can't wait. Miles is one of my favorite new characters of the decade. Bring it on. But I still want to know what was so shocking to Peter Parker about the 616 Miles, if he even exists..

my theory is will miles be stranded in 616 as morlun comes into his universe and chases miles and he enters the portal from spider-men and gets to 616 and meets the x-men. Morlun may have wanted to go to 616 last with his full power to take on pete again but now has to go there to eat miles and pete and miles temporarily subdue him and go to find every spider-man ever to take him down but when it is all over miles is left in 616 and ultimate pete is back as ultimate spider-man
