That's not 616 magik or 616 Leah.

Though I kinda wish it was cause Leah and Magik would be one of the most compelling relationships ever especially with Gillen writing Leah. Literally anything that convinced Gillen to bring Leah back to 616 would make me extremely happy.

For some weird reason, this feels right. I don't know why, but I would rather have Magik hook up with another bad ass girl or stay single.

After looking at this "pick" I'm now 100% convinced Magik should be devilishly asexual. Looks pretty forced.

Asexuality doesn't exist in the Marvel universe; everyone is either gay or hetro.

You can't get context from a single panel of them kissing, so there is no way it "looks pretty forced" >.<

I always considered her to be bi. She just doesn't seem to be the type to conform or care about any one category.

Like a couple of other people have posited, I have just always thought of Illyana as too-busy-trying-to-allay-desire-to-become-demon-overlord-to-worry-about-relationships. You know, that sexual orientation. I am actually one of those and I demand more representation!!!!

Seeing Magik kissing anyone feels forced, that's what I meant. Sloppiness is beneath her I'd say.

But way back when, in the "New Mutants", there were panels where she was shown having crushes, discussing boys in a naughty way, talking about fashion, etc. She's still a person, even though she's also a demon sorceress trying to prevent herself from giving into dark desires for power & evil.

I don't remember much of it. I always kind of figured she was predominantly a-sexual.

I would have always assumed Magik was asexual, simply because she's been around for so long and never shown any romantic interest in anyone. Same for Cypher and Warlock, now that I think about it.

Don't recall the rest, but interesting that Tarot would fall for Cypher though, since Tarot is itself a language.

In fairness, Doug and Kitty were supposed to be like 14 or so, so, I wouldn't imagine their relationship being hinted at as sexual considering that would sexualize minors in comic book, which would probably be against the law.

Like, when the X-men were on a mission in space and Kitty was afraid she might die a virgin.. I'm pretty sure she was only 14 then. I mean, nothing happened, but you could say that story sexualized a minor, even if it did make a point that doing so was wrong.

If anything I remember Kitty being generally written as a pretty typical horny teenager, despite the conventions of the day.

Since I mostly only know of Illyana from post-resurrection, I find it kinda odd to see her exhibiting any kind of emotion other than some level of sadistic glee or rage.

Regarding her orientation... why am I not surprised the near-halfbreed demon girl turns out to be that liberal? Not that there's anything wrong with it, it's just seems rather typical if you know what I mean.

I don't even know if that really covers it with Namor.

Bi implies that someone defines their sexuality by the standard sexual binary, which there's really no reason to assume Namor does.

It really is... Herc and Storm are indeed highly speculated to be, though with no proof on panel but at least there are hints, about Namor though. Nah.

I was referring to how people are called either conservative or liberal, depending on whenever they themselves would be open to engage in a same-sex relationship.
