Our biggest fear have come true:

Avengers (dec 2012): Bi weekly with more then 18 avengers on the team. Written by [Jonathan] Hickman with one shot stories and longer galaxy spanning multi-issue arcs

X-men: (nov 2012) hold on to your hats...... Bendis!!! about the original five x-men time-travel two the present in a pleasantville style story and who are not going to like what they see once they are in the present and will find it unacceptable. Bendis says the time travel aspect of the story is not as important as the character based drama."

All this from CBR. and unfortunately for all you Jean Grey fans, she is returning......as a Jean that has no experience of her life post original five. Which means the only people she will know will be Scott, Hank, Bobby and Warren (who won't know her). No friendship with Ororo, No motherly bond with Cable/Rachel/Nate and for all those of you who think she belongs with Logan she will be way too young.

God I hate Marvel!

Yeah, if Wood is allowed to stay, they wont be "moving" anywhere. It's a self-contained series for the most part, things happening concerning teams elsewhere shouldn't affect anyone in this book. Like i said, IF Wood is allowed to stay. And since when have characters having roles on different teams affected their sh*t ?. Oh, and, Storm isn't my only concern, considering she wasn't even mentioned in the original post. Thanks.

Know anything about Uncanny? Gillen said on his Formspring that he's finished issue 20 which would be released in October, presumably after AvX that finishes in Sept.

In Battle Scars, we found out Nick Fury had a black son. Sr goes off to deal with some stuff (think he's dying because he used the last of the infinity formula on Bucky) so now Jr is in charge.

idk, I really like how that is turning out. Except Bendis.... And it wasn't my worst fear at all. Plus, Uncanny Xmen and WatX is all I need for X books, they are flawless. And my talk with Aaron at Denver Comic Con showed that he is staying with the book for a while. And that he is going to elaborate on developing Bobby and Katherine's relationship, so idk how Bendis is going to take Bobby away with continuity.

22 new books apparently, one a week for five months, starting with Uncanny Avengers. Question is, if all this is true, which title will Remender be leaving. He's already on Uncanny X-Force and Secret Avengers, If he's take on Captain America and this new flagship title, he must surely be leaving one, if not both of his current books.

And annoying as renumberings are, they do boost sales, which is good for your favourite local comic shop, not just Marvel.

Every issue will have that AR nonsense now too, you scan the cover and get a recap of the previous issues, and everything will include digitial copies.

Completely agree. I lot of people blame the decline in sale of comics on marketing and the availability of comics, but I think a big part of the problem is the decline of quality of the comics. Marvel has been bland for a year now, and the one thing that has brought some life back to the books, AvX, has not been good.

Maybe Marvel will clear up the crap fest that are the secondary X-Books too (Legacy, New Mutants, Astonishing)? One can hope!

I really hope Remender stays on Uncanny X-Force too. I guess/really wish it'll be Secret Avengers he's dropping.

They seriously need a reboot. They play around with alternate realities all the time, but their core titles are starting to look like bad fanfiction with this strange fascination they have with trying to make everything look hard edged and gritty. I did call it back in February that Bendis would be on Adjectiveless X-Men so at least I'm glad he is there and that there has been no confirmation so far about him being on UXM if he will be at all.

My main question is if that is the original Cyclops on the Avengers team? Since Jean is brought back and they have a story that comes out a few months later with the original 5 X-Men coming to the future did he maybe join the team or something like that while real Cykes is on the X-Men? Otherwise I see it as like this.

Cap: " Thank you, Summers, for joining the Avengers. I really hope this and working the X-Men if you haven't stepped down is ok. So, Cyclops are we cool?"

Cy: "Pfffft, don't worry, Cap. But the solicit says Havok and Wolverine are on the team which I understand if Wolverine's X team is on the Avengers or has members on it, but Cyclops? That doesn't make any sense and seems anti-climactic. But that's the key phrase, "makes no sense."

That made me lol. Honestly unless Cyclops or Cap somehow redeem themselves at the end of AVX I don't see how they will get along together, especially Wolverine and Cyclops on the same team but it does look like it will be present Cyke (because of the costume). If that is Cyclops and Jean from the past won't they be a little inexperienced to be on the Avengers team?

I'm still skeptical but the team roster does look like one I will enjoy. Can't imagine a villain that could challenge them though.

@Osian2: Glad I could make you laugh. And I think it could be current but who's to say, if it is the younger clops, a new costume? I mean Jean may keep her old one but new Cy could get a new one. And I agree with the whole notion if it is current Cyclops that there would need to be a big pay up to Cykes from both for him to work with them (such as mutants being restored which is a possible ending to all this and with the whole ReEvolution thing seems likely). A transported younger Cyclops doesn't have that grudge though if Cyclops doesn't get a pay off. Also since the solicits stated it has both Havok and Wolverine on the team, like I said earlier, it would make sense to have some of the Wolverine;s X-Men join the Avengers which Havok is on Wolverine's side. I think both theories COULD make sense, I'm just trying to figure out which is the most likely which will probably end up being Current Cyclops joining the team.
