Storm's not siding with anyone. She's with the X-men, but, like most of the mutants, she knows what the Phoenix Five (or Two) are doing is wrong. She's helping the Avengers, but she's still with the X-men. If she had to pick sides, she would go with the X-men. She would never abandon the younger mutants who didn't do anything, but got caught up in the fighting.

from what I have read the answer is yes she has finally come around to the right side where she should have been since the get go

I think most of the X-Men are starting to side with the Avengers because they oppose the Phoenix Five.

Storm like a lot of the X-Men see the problem the F5 are becoming. So she like them are deciding to oppose them.

Ofcourse storm is siding with the X-men after seeing how much the Phoenix is destryoing them and witnessing Colossus and Magik dropping thor into a volcanoe as a lifeless trophy. Yes she has come to her senses though I understand why she felt to go help the x-men(Her family), but obviously her hmm what you call them? Ah "Husband" has failed to see that.

Storm isn't siding with anyone. I think she's only wants peace on both sides. She knows what Phoenix was capable of and went along with everything only because of the good they served. But she as well as many of the other x-men opposed some of their behavior and kept her guard up. After finding out about the volcano she came to he senses and tried to help those who were in need...She's only looking to do what's right...
