i agree with that actually. even though i like these characters a lot, what would the x-men do if a large number of their roster was just killed? would the new x-men be brought in? would retired x-men come back? would they introduce all new members? and what would happen the x-men that do survive? i dont think the writers would ever do it unless the comic was really doing bad, but if they did it would be interesting...

what is going on with archangel anyways? he keeps on coming in and out of comics. i dont think the writers know what to do with him. i dont really care, they should have killed him instead of banshee. banshee at least was useful. i have loved archangel throughout the years, but i seriously think he is the weakest x-men right now. he doesnt do anything...

i like iceman. i think his powers are a little strange. but even more then that, i dont like this whole relationship thing he was having with mystique. they are trying to give him a lot of depth, when i consider him more of comic relief. i dunno. i think he is a keeper though, at least before angel or beast.

Wolverine, because it's so annoying that he apears so much everywhere. But I totally agree with all thoose who want to kill Cyclops, he is annoying too

Good god, I hate what Morrison did to the X-Men, character wise. Bring back Phoenix, kill off Jean, make Magneto a drugged Nazi, made Beast look worst, have Emma join the team (she is so much better as a villain), the whole Cassandra Nova origin thing was kinda bad, Sublime and U-Men were just stupid.

I would delete Thunderbird: Neal Sharra (plasma blaster redundant), Life Guard, MOst of the New X-men, X-51 or whatever her name is, Vulcan (especially), There has to be more I'm not thinking of. The trend of tons of redundant mutations to fill spots on teams watered down the originals as well as the grotesque mutations with no super power function.

The equilibrium has been screwed up. When X-men and other mutants start popping up with the same ol powers then maybe characters with those powers need more air time instead.

I actually like Cyclops. He doesn't try to be 'edgy' or 'dark'; he's a strait-arrow, a good leader, and a nice reminder of the days when heroes didn't have to walk the line between good and evil to be cool.

I would have to say Iceman. I liked him when he was stuck in ice form. Although, the only characters i really like don't look like normal humans. I think the fact that they don't makes them stand out more, and when there's anti-mutant people around, they always get hit first.

As a full time member of the Emott ((Emma/Scott)) relationship club, Jean Grey needs to be killed off...permanently. It is ridiculous. I am glad that Morrison did the deed. Before her diamond form was shattered, Jean and Emma psychically fought and Scott even told Jean that he truly loves Emma.

While I did love all the tension, Jean got what she deserved. And maybe this time, she stays dead, though with the Phoenix inside of her, how long is it til she ruins Scott's and Emma's life again

Now that you guys have made me think about it, maybe Cyclops going down would be good for the X-Men. Though I do not know how the rest of the team would take with Emma being in charge. I wouldn't mind it. But think about it. Cyclops was the first and a staunch beleiver in the dream by the cue ball. Killing him off would unite everyone and make Emma one pissed off girlfriend. Of course she has her fun with Sinister in Part 5, but still.

So yeah. I am thinking of putting Cyclops in my Top 5 list of victims

the only reason I don't see Cyclops dying is that rumors have been running rampant about the Original 5 being reunited in Uncanny. Which of course is impossible since Jean Gray is dead
