If an X-Man were to get a tattoo, who would get it and what would the tattoo comprise of!?

**I made a blog about this a few weeks ago but I couldn't peg it to the X-Men page, so I'm restating it.

Well yes, but who's one to judge? I just went to the market today only for the cashier to have his name tattooed on his forehead...

I think some people may think for themselves not the characters but character wise i dunno i can't really picture the X-men with lots of tattoo's maybe colossus since they'd look better while in metal form .I think like ghouls skulls & such for colossus since hes in a bad time right now & the other arm for his artists ways aka good side of him .

@mistressoftheelements: It's really not that big a deal. At least to me. I was just trying to see the rationale.

Magneto's, Rachel's, and Bishop's are all good examples of why tattoos wouldn't be a big part of mutant culture in general.

But there's a few character's I could see getting them:

I think it would be cool if Warpath had a big Thunderbird tattooed on his chest or back (if he could get one, with his healing factor.

Shatterstar I could totally picture getting covered from head to toe with big, bold tattoos.

Storm I could picture getting a Morlock style tattoo to mark her dedication to the mutant misfits of the world.

I could also see Gambit, Northstar, or Domino getting tattoos, but I can't think of what.

This isn't a good idea for a tattoo, but for some reason I can picture Jubilee getting a tattoo (again, if she can) with a scroll that just said "forever young"..

You have a point there... either way, the narcissism is present and in your face!

Maybe this would be Storm's tattoo to resemble her love over plants(She has a plant room in the X-Mansion) And the water would resemble that she is watering it.

I don't remember where I heard that, but it kind of makes sense in so far as he's got super-speed, so why wouldn't he heal super fast?

in the 70's they wrote Wolverine as a character who was supposed to be much faster than a normal human, but I think most writers consider his healing factor to be more like regeneration, which is why it wouldn't make sense for him to have a tattoo. I don't think Warpath's works the same way, as it seems to be more directly related to the idea that he's super-fast, so maybe he could.

This is from his wiki:

Agility, Berserker Strength, Invulnerability, Stamina, Stealth, Super Hearing, Super Sight, Super Speed, Super Strength, Swordsmanship, Tracking, Unarmed Combat, Weapon Master. But it would make sense for him to have some type of healing factor, he has the rest of the package!

Psylocke. She's one of those action junkies, so I could see her getting one on her arms since they are usually bare.

Would this count? I think Warpath would be my top choice to get a tattoo as well. The best candidate would be characters that tend to show a little skin. So maybe Boom Boom with a tribal? Forge with a Cheyenne art tattoo? Shoulder stars for Frenzy? I would like Hope with tatts, but she'd have to look different than Rachel. Magik with some mystical tatts? That's all I can think of.

Does he really need to heal if he can't be hurt? Or could that be the same thing, IE Wolverine is almost invulnerable because what ever you do to him he heals back up

I'm pretty sure the Hulk has a healing factor; I think that's why Wolverine could hack away at him and he didn't bleed, because he healed too fast.

I was thinking Warpath was more like Savage Dragon, who is really tough, but also has crazy regeneration. Eric Larson described it as his flesh being like a bullet proof vest: it could withstand punishing blows and even small caliber ammunition, but could still be cut or burnt, hence all of the insane injuries he's had to regenerate from.

Wolverine. Wait, does he have any? They totally would give him an edgier style. :)

Nah. In the Wolverine family, that's Daken's shtick.

I actually think I got the idea from Age of X, but I still think it's a cool one.

Forge with a bio-mechanical tattoo somewhere. I don't know where, maybe his left shoulder and chest. That'd be bada$$, but kinda predictable.
