I'm still kinda new and am not sure if there's already an article about this, so I thought I might as well ask this question that has been on my mind for years. With all their missions, hi-tech equipment and facilities(not to mention relentless property damage), where do the X-Men actually get all the necessary funding? Sure, I was aware of the large fortune Charles Xavier had inherited, but surely that can't still be what's keeping them going after all these years!
So I read up a bit on the X-Mansion, X-Men etc on this site as well as on others, but I'm still baffled on how they can afford to buy, repair and maintain stuff like Cerebro, the Blackbird and Danger Room. Sure they may have occassionally have someone like Hank McCoy around to help 'em fix stuff, but even then they may require new materials, components and parts. I'm sure the Blackbird don't run on anything cheap, either. I came across something that said Xavier's school had investors. If that's true, the X-Men having sufficient funds would perhaps be more plausible.
Do some of the mutants staying with the X-Men have part-time jobs to help out with the bills? If a large enough number of them were working, it would certainly help get bread on the table for everyone. I haven't been much of an X-comic reader of late and I haven't seen any of the X-Men simultaneously being part of the workforce.
I do hope that my very first article hasn't bored you to death but I thought, 'Hey, why not give it a shot', and once again, I am truly , SINCERELY sorry if this topic has already been brought up in the past. Lastly...y'know what, 'nuff said.
