    Are you guys excited for this new series?  I'm pretty interested to follow hope and see how her powers develop and how she acclimates herself to this new time period.  
     
    Any word on when the first issue is going to be released?

    There's enough X-stuff already.
    Most of the characters will probably be forgotten in a couple of years too :(

    I am. I like that we're going to see new mutants, and that they are promising to be unlike what we have seen before. Their transformation will bring with it new problems and issues to explore than what previous generations had to deal with. There bringing back a sense of the unexpected that we haven't seen with mutants in a long time. It used to be that new mutants were normal and their powers just worked, this time it will be different and I think there is a lot of story potential there.

    @Icon:  I seriously can't wait. I was happy a few months ago when Cornell was writing Dark X-men and Gillen was writing SWORD. Two great series that should have gone on longer then they did.

    it looks like it could be good, i like the idea that their the next step in mutant evolution. especially since it wasn't all that long ago the it turned out Madrox was actually part of the previous step which is why hes had his powers since birth

    They should deal with the mutants & ex-mutants they already have first before introducing these borrowing characters.

    It's a great idea, just worried about how it will be handled. Anyone notices that the images from the 5 new mutants all look pretty lame, except for the fire an ice girl.
