Generation Hope

Are you guys excited for this new series?  I'm pretty interested to follow hope and see how her powers develop and how she acclimates herself to this new time period.

Any word on when the first issue is going to be released?

That guy's right.
There's enough X-stuff already.
Most of the characters will probably be forgotten in a couple of years too :(

I don't like Hope, she's not really anything 'new'.

Yeah, I don't get excited over Matt Fraction created projects.

I like the whole idea of mutated mutants
but I'll wait and see what happens before I make my decisions

I agree with this.

@ComicMan24:
it could be cool
it's a neat, actually new idea
but who knows?
if Greg Land is doing it, it will hurt my ability to like it  ;)

@Shadowdoggy:
The greatest idea can be ruined in the wrong hands.

you said it!

I am. I like that we're going to see new mutants, and that they are promising to be unlike what we have seen before. Their transformation will bring with it new problems and issues to explore than what previous generations had to deal with. There bringing back a sense of the unexpected that we haven't seen with mutants in a long time. It used to be that new mutants were normal and their powers just worked, this time it will be different and I think there is a lot of story potential there.

  Kieron Gillen's S.W.O.R.D. was great and I'll definitely give this a shot because of him.

@Grendel: Gillen is at times a stupendous writer. He is another reason I'm looking forward to this.

I miss being excited about X-Men.

#17 Posted by Grendel (560 posts) - - Show Bio
@Icon:  I seriously can't wait. I was happy a few months ago when Cornell was writing Dark X-men and Gillen was writing SWORD. Two great series that should have gone on longer then they did.

@Grendel:  Wow, I don't think I realized it was by Kieron Gillen! The writing on the SWORD book was crazy amazing. I'm actually really excited for this, now.

it looks like it could be good, i like the idea that their the next step in mutant evolution. especially since it wasn't all that long ago the it turned out Madrox was actually part of the previous step which is why hes had his powers since birth

Knowing this is from Kieron Gillon... yeah, I might get it after all.

Eh, I don't care. Hellion in Legacy is the only thing I'm super-excited about :D

#23 Posted by zabdi (60 posts) - - Show Bio
@FadeToBlackBolt:  wait Hellions going be in Legacy, i thought he was staying on the island for now?
#24 Posted by FadeToBlackBolt (23334 posts) - - Show Bio
@zabdi: Yeh! He and Hope are going to take over the title after the current arc. I can't wait. Check out his cv page forums for more info :) (like the interview)

They should deal with the mutants & ex-mutants they already have first before introducing these borrowing characters.

EPIC FAIL!!!

It's a great idea, just worried about how it will be handled. Anyone notices that the images from the 5 new mutants all look pretty lame, except for the fire an ice girl.

I really like Hope. I didn't get anything with her before Second Coming but the new 5 Lights arc has me excited.

@N7_Normandy:
I'm with you, I like Hope. She's the new Jean Grey. I want to see what her connection to the pheonix force is.
#29 Posted by EnSabahNurX (2310 posts) - - Show Bio

I'm excited but I feel hope needs a new look because the older she gets the more she looks like jean grey

#30 Posted by darkwolverineUSMC (315 posts) - - Show Bio
@EnSabahNurX:
But thats why I like her. Jean Grey was an original member of X-men, Marvel Girl. I miss her so much. Hope fills that void for me.
