Favorite Era of the X-Men comics?
What was your favorite era of the X-Men comics? Was it:
The 60s era - where the original five X-Men (Cyclops, Angel, Beast, Iceman and Marvel Girl) were first introduced
The 70s era - where the second generation X-Men (Wolverine, Colossus, Storm, Banshee and Nightcrawler) were first introduced
The 80s era - where the "Dark Phoenix Saga" started and the first introduction of Kitty Pryde
The 90s era
The 2000s era
80's - 90's
80's due to the emergence of X-Factor and the consequent big events the X-Men encountered during that era. Days of Future Past was also in the 80's I think.
90's was just a treat. X-Cutioner's Song, Fatal Attractions, Phalanx Covenant, AoA, Onslaught, Zero Tolerance, etc.
I've also enjoyed the 80s X-Men when I started reading the X-Men comics when I got older. I also liked the 70s comics because I really liked the second generation X-Men.
90s...i was growing up during that era, so it was my first taste of the X-Men. My dad brought home X-men #1 with all the Variant Covers and I was in trance with them. Ever since then I started to get into comics even tho my dad had a lot of old ones before hand. I think it was becuz of Jim Lee.
This!As a child of the 90's I grew up with the X-Men of the 90's and thus will always have fond memories of that era, but as I got older and found older books I also enjoyed the 80's X-Men and their spin offs ( New Mutants etc.)
I was born in 82. Didn't read comics till the early 90's. Was introduced to the X Men via the 90's cartoon.
Pretty much 80's and 90's X Men is what I love.
Really can't stand the 2000's era.

On a slightly related note, so far the only X-Men story of this decade that I have really enjoyed has been Remender's run on Uncanny X-Force.
@Rabbitearsblog: For the most part I agree with what you say. I think that the 80s and 90s X-Men stories, along with Joss Whedon's X-Men run, are the best X-Men stories I have ever read. Where I differ a little bit is that I actually do kind of like parts of Morrison's run, but it is nowhere near as great as the other eras that I have listed. I actually haven't read Morrison's run on X-Men yet, but I have heard that it was great, so I'll have to check them out sometime! The one's from the 2000s I have read so far though were not so great even though they were more like in between titles like "Lovelorn" and "Divided we Stand."
I kind of cherry pick through them... 60's were fun. Giant Size(Can't remember the year of it) was my first X-men comic so yeah...
@spidermonkey2099: Totally agree. Even after having read Morrison's run a good five or six times, I still feel like it doesn't really deserve the hype. 90s all the way.
