What are your favorite 3 mutants and why?
X-Men
Team » X-Men appears in 13419 issues.
The X-Men are a superhero team of mutants founded by Professor Charles Xavier. They are dedicated to helping fellow mutants and sworn to protect a world that fears and hates them.
Favorite 3 mutants
Cyclops- He's developed and changed in some way in response to every major story arc since New X-Men and turned boyscout into a badass code of conduct
Magneto- Because "welcome to die", "They'll never understand us" and "Never again" are all major parts of his character that can be and have been explored to make him awesome without being out of character
Surge- Because I've reread New X-Men Academy X 4 times and mark out whenever I see her in the back ground
Nightcrawler - My original favorite mutant when i was growing up, he was funny and blue. He still has prolly my favorite power of all time and his personality and image contrast greatly it is great to read him and i have never seen him do anything i didnt enjoy reading so yea
Cyclops - teh burdened leader, he is one of my favs have been for a while but seeing him take over the team after M day really boosted him up my charts. I love how he is so tactical and his inner struggles are always good to read.
the last spot is hard one for me, but ima give it to
Cannonball - Fellow southerner he is a imperfect leader who i think constantly gets denied his time to shine. His power is freaking awesome, and i think he has so much potential left un explored i love to read him and currently buy Avengers just to hope i can see him in teh back ground of a few pages lol
you know mine Fishy... since i went on at great length in the couples thread... lol
1. Storm
2. Emma Frost
3. Sage.
Magneto - Classic Bad guy turned hero, turned bad guy, turned hero lol. Hes a tweener as i like to call it and always a good read, a real Anti hero some times and thats good.
Gambit- hes a master thief whose been in the X men ranks for a while, his power and attitude make him fairly awesome i am always happy to see him in a title, hell its the only reason i bought X factor :D
Chamber- Loved him in Gen X, think he has sooo much un tapped potential as a character and an X man. SOME ONE USE HIM!!!
yes i know ths is the second time i posted, ill prolly post again too i just like too many to choose just three <.<
Magneto because he controls the electromagnetic spectrum. Which is just beast.
Gambit because he's smooth. I also like his abilities.
Archangel because he of his torn spirit of anger when he was changed by apocalypse. I like his design as a character.
- Cyclops - He's a great leader who's always looking out for his team despite all odds and criticisms.
- Nightcrawler - He has a really strong moral code and sticks to it regardless of how difficult the obstacles are.
- Iceman - He's a funny character to read that also brings the wow-factor to the table whenever he uses his powers.
1. Nate Grey (X-Man) - Obscure origin, limitless potential (both power wise and story wise). Also was the main character of the first comic I ever owned.
2. Johnny Gallo (Ricochet) - Cool powers and costume. He's one of those characters that you either love or know absolutely nothing about.
3. Jubilee - First comic book crush when I was a kid, from both the cartoon series and Generation X.
i did post my 3 above... but i want to add a bonus selection... one who is rocketing up my favourites list...
Hellion. How fragging awesome is Julian Keller. I'd forgotten him for a little while, but his re-appearance in XX-Men has made me very interested in him again. And frankly... he SHOULD only wear his underwear into battle. None of the x-men dress that skimpy anymore... why can't he... he was Emma's protege for a while after all.
Colossus - because of his quiet strength. He's actually very complex with a huge background and powerful backstory. While he doesn't always say what's going on inside of himself I put that down to his Russian heritage. Which is not to say that events don't affect him powerfully, though when it does slip out it's after a buildup. Plus he's always trying to do the right thing, even if he end up changing his decision when he learns more.
Kitty Pryde - As Pete's true love, she's also (for the most part) a quiet, strong character who's full of passion but not flashy way. She doesn't seek attention, she just takes care of business.
Magik - Tortured, powerful and incredibly interesting, I'm currently gobbling up everything I can get my hands on about her. Part of me wonders if her armor is made from the same stuff that Piotr is.
And more importantly all three of them together are a greater sum than alone. I like their interactions, they're tortured yet still full of caring and understanding. Strong in force and convictions yet all still have a very soft and emotional inside. I love the dynamic between all of them and really, really miss it.
Ms Marvel, Domino, Dazzler.
Ms Marvel isnt a Mutant is she? like im 99 percent sure lol

Ms Marvel isnt a Mutant is she? like im 99 percent sure lol
Nope, but she's my favs lol.
Nate Grey - I love his power set, and he is the strongest telekinetic and one of the strongest telepaths to ever exist. I loved his solo series, thought it was really interesting. I really like the character. He was a stranger in a strange land, trying to find his place, and help as many people as he could along the way. He could be great if he was on the right team, and was written correctly. It would be great if they gave him most (but not all) of his powers back, make him slightly more powerful than jean grey was without the phoenix.
Cable- Amazing soldier, tactition, and all around bad ass. I prefer him with some of his tk/tp powers, this precognition stuff is kinda lame. I think he is one of the best leaders and most interesting mutants in the world. He's willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done.
Magneto - Another cool power set. Also, another very interesting character. It doesn't matter if he's a good guy or a bad guy, he's just cool as hell. He had a horrible childhood, and that has a lot to do with the man he's become. When things get serious, he is the guy you want to have on your side.
1. Nightcrawler - He's just so likable. And his power is cool.
2. Magneto - So much thought has been put into his character. The fact that he often thinks that he really is doing good and his history make him really interesting to me. He makes a great antihero.
3. Beast or Iceman - I find it hard to decide between these two. They're just really fun characters.
1. Magneto- such a deep and sad backstory combined with his immense power.
2. Beast- beast on the outside, genuis on the inside. Nuff said.
3. Gambit Interesting powerset, good h2h and agility. I like the thieves guild origin also.
If you're talking about which 3 mutants made the most entertaining team, I'll have to go with that brief time during X-Factor when Cyclops, Iceman and Marvel Girl were the only active duty members (Beast was comatose, and (Arch)Angel was still deep in angst).
I changed mine.....
Cyclops- Because he's the leader of the X-Men and has earned that distinction.
Surge- Liked her from her first appearance, and never lost interest even if the writers did.
Rachel Grey- Because she's got one of the most intricate histories of any X-character(and because, she deserves far better treatment then she gets and if Marvel revives X-Men Legacy then they should put the original Legacy character in it)
Raze Logan- He's a hybrid of two of the best mutants ever; Mystique and Wolverine
Apocalypse- He's one of the very few powerhouse mutants who is extremely strong and has Celestial tech to backup his brawn
Mimic- He can practically have the powers, at half strength, of 5 mutants at one time
