There are too many X Books out right now to make Inhumans popular

Lol. So was Bendis moving over to the X-Men post-Avengers and assuming TWO titles under his wing. And now look where we are!

Never say never, man.

what if all the x books are cancelled?

Jeez, some people are too stupid. Marvel isn't canceling X-Men.

Just because there are X books out doesn't mean Inhumans can't also be popular.

Well Marvel would piss off their fan base to a HUGE degree loose its fans try to insert Inhumanity into it. While a few will cross over Marvel will loose a lot in sales in toys and movies. Marvel notices signifigant loss of profits and brings the X back

#12 Posted by TheCheeseStabber (8106 posts) - - Show Bio

@feartheliving: I meant making Inhumans AS popular as the Xmen I love Inhumans <3

Lockjaw :D!!!!!

#13 Posted by FearTheLiving (3120 posts) - - Show Bio

@thecheesestabber: Oh well yeah XD it'd be a tough time for them to be as popular as X-Men.

Again, I cannot believe how many people are falling for a 4chan-born fanfiction... especially you @ageofhurricane

#15 Posted by redwingx (825 posts) - - Show Bio

All of you are in denial. Look at it from a business standpoint, Marvel won't promote Fox's property anymore.

#16 Posted by MN_Logan (247 posts) - - Show Bio

Come on, Marvel isn't THAT stupid.

#17 Posted by Koays (1758 posts) - - Show Bio

@redwingx: You realize the "promotion" your talking about is its own money making property and though Fox owns the rights to make the movies Marvel sees money from all of foxs movie based on anything they hold own property rights too

The only thing they could replace the x-men in is there place in tie - iins and storyarcs which is bad business since they could be promoting both separately or together.

All this talk about X-Men coming to an end. I doubt that will happen. Inhumans is good, but it's not as good as the X-Men comics and never will be. Nothing better than the X-Men comics.

I heard in interviews from writers, they think it stupid all these rumours, even Bendis does.

I wonder if that's the reason, why Wolverine is dying this year, so Marvel can see how well the X-Men sales are doing without him.

If X-Men comics came to a end, I won't be reading comics anymore and I won't be going on this website anymore.

I will pretty much say this.

But if you think about it, the Inhumans doesn't look bad and can become popular if writers lead them correctly. I wouldn't want to believe that the X-Men will end either because THIS will break my heart...which I doubt it. There will always be rumors, but not certainty. Again...I like the Inhumans because there are some characters that I would like to see like for instance Medusa, she is one of my favorites. I always thought she was cool and looked great when joining the Fantastic Four. But more I like when she was in Frightful Four. Crystal...is another character that came to my attention when I first find out about her and Pietro being together and having a daughter. I always thought that one day she and Pietro will join Magneto's crew, which this never happened...of course. Anyway...my point is, I don't believe the X-Men is ending, but I do believe that Inhumans can be popular....just like any other comic.

I don't think XM will ever end. Inhumans wont even get close to XM popularity. I could be wrong, though.

X-Men:

  • Cyclops: Leader. Brown Hair, brown eyes. Can't look at things without glasses or he blows stuff up.
  • Jean Grey: Red hair, Leading X lady (not for awhile but still)
  • Namor: Fishman
  • Tomi Shishido: aka Gorgon.
  • Nightcrawler: Fuzzy teleporter.
  • Storm: Elementalist
  • Beast: Genius d-bag.
  • Wolverine: Oddly structured martial artist.

Inhumans:

  • Black Bolt: Leader. Can't open mouth and say something without blowing sh*t up. (handicapped in some form like Cyclops)
  • Medusa: Leading Inhuman lady. Redhead like Jean Grey.
  • Triton: Fishman...like first mutant Namor.
  • Gorgon: Named Gorgon. Tomi Shishido is aliased as Gorgon.
  • Lockjaw: Fuzzy teleporter.
  • Crystal: Elementalist.
  • Maximus: Genius D-bag.
  • Karnak: Oddly structured martial artist.

Oh sh*t...it's a conspiracy.

If they do it I'm done with Marvel not just there comics but there movies as well.

There's lots of love to be spread around. X-Men are going nowhere. Films involving Inhumans, however, I do see happening.

But this is too huge in comparison. Closing an entire franchise is a very big thing, it's not like just changing a writer or an artist.

Inhumans will NEVER EVER compare to X-MEN. Don't be silly.

If they cancel X-Men then its Marvel who will lose money not Fox.

do you understand what business is? it's making money, marvel is in the business of making money via comic book sells, so cancelling a comic book that is making them money is not good business, sure fox gets all the movie money but the movies also help push there comics. thus why everywhere you look coming up to DOFP release they were trying to sell the dofp trade paper back and why when agents of shield was getting ready to launch they were pushing Wheldons astonishing run canceling x men is BAD business if they do it (which they will not) it will be out of some sort of spite and totally stupid.

Marvel doesn't NEED to promote Fox's properties. Comic book movies will always without fail have a higher viewership than comics will have a readership. Fox's movie promotes Marvel's comic books is actually the way that this works.

Marvel cancelling X-Men and/or Fantastic Four just to spite Sony or Fox is one of the silliest conspiracy theories that I've seen with regards to comics, and I've seen some pretty silly ones. The end result harms Marvel only, and will do nothing to even scratch the surface of the profits that the X-Men or Spider-Man or Fantastic Four movies are making.

marvel won't kill x-men. it would be suicide for them. x-men became famous for a reason. people can connect to them. avengers was born 1st but x-men had movies before avengers did. it only goes to show that x-men is more lucrative than the avengers. x-men would sell even if they are not promoted and funded well.

#30 Posted by Koays (1758 posts) - - Show Bio

Where does this idea that Marvel doesn't see money from X-Men and FF come from? They make more money from their in house films sure, but do people really think they just gave Fox the movie rights and said "Now you guys keep the money and the films, we've got more then enough over here with the always steady comicbook industry". They have the rights to make the movies and use the characters, but a large portion of their revenue is sent to Marvel HQ because they own the property.

And really X-Men is a brand in its self almost as big as the rest of Marvel, replacing them with Inhumans is like DC replacing all of Batman and his titles/characters with Grifter and trying to make him main stream.....if you don't know who Grifter is, you understand why this concept is the stupidest idea to make it's way outta 4chan and onto this site.

I agree.

F^&k off conspirators. F^&k off X-fans who constantly feel hard done by.
