I know the earth 2 comic is quite popular but I have to ask what if it was the X-Men that died and the younger gen has to take over? Could they save the world?

Depends what's threatening it ...

They very damn well could, especially with both: Prodigy, Hellion and Noriko at the leadership post.

Wouldn't Dani take the leadership role? Since they've got Danger, Cannonball, and Magik i don't see what they wouldn't be able to stop, that's a pretty good line up.

She could, but she's too busy and too old, especially with all the NM stuff.

@AgeofHurricane: Oh I took it as a restart of titles, and that she could run the team, In that case just make Chamber or Dust a leader it would be good for their development.
