By my count, there is a total of fifteen X-Men titles currently being published by Marvel. I am going to do myself justice as a fan and read all of those to post reviews and share thoughts. Those are incoming. Expect a few to follow shortly, such as, X-Men Legacy and All-New X-Men. Nine of these titles I have never read before. Of these nine, five have yet to be published. So... just a quick breakdown:

    1. Age of Apocalypse

    2. All-New X-Men

    3. Astonishing X-Men

    4. Cable and X-Force

    5. Deadpool

    6. Gambit

    7. Savage Wolverine

    8. Ultimate Comics: X-Men

    9. Uncanny X-Force

    10. Uncanny X-Men

    11. Wolverine

    12. Wolverine and the X-Men

    13. X-Factor

    14. X-Men Legacy

    15. X-Treme X-Men

The crossed out titles I have already read and formed an opinion on, and the bold titles are yet to be released. Detailed reviews are to follow.

Which title(s) are you most excited about?

Cable & X-force: It is in it's own little universe and will have many explosions. I will be entertained.

Uncanny X-men: It has Ilyana. I like Illyana.

    Cable and X-Force, Uncanny X-Force and X-Treme X-Men.

    Also, X-Factor, although i'm not exactly a die-hard fan, but it's a great series.

And Ultimate Comics along with X-Men Legacy.

Other than that the new UXF and CXF seems good.

Lets see rolling over X-Factor and WATXM. Probably going to get X-treme for Sage now.

Besides that All New X-men (at least up until Uncanny X-men), Uncanny X-men, Uncanny X-Force, X-men Legacy and Cable and X-Force.

Looking forward most to Uncanny X-men and Uncanny X-Force.

@Blacharrt1: I love Abnett and Lanning which makes me sad that Marvel would cancel a book entitled New Mutants and push more Wolverine when I would very much so like to focus on others especially with the new resurgence of mutants again following AvX.

@Rickbarry: I read your first comment in Colossus voice lol. I enjoy Kitty in Ultimate X-Men, but how Jimmy is portrayed to be just like Logan annoys me. I wish him to be the opposite, a brighter reflection and a pacifist. Jimmy should be a little bit of a thrill seeker but totally shocked by the circumstances he is in. Give him more of the awkwardness and boyish tendencies. That is what I would like to see out of him as a character, but who am I to say? I just feel as if he is a completely different character than the one we originally saw. There is one other thing that's been annoying me: Where did he get that hat?! That's out of character for Jimmy. Wolverine? Spot on. Jimmy? No, not eve close. Jimmy is not his father's son; he was raised by Guardian, a cop in the ultimate universe, and I don't think Jimmy would be prone to doing half the things he has done.

Mutants plus detective agency plus Peter David? Sign me up!!! X-Treme looks awesome to me because I loved Sliders. Ultimate X-Men I will always have a special spot for since that's where I started reading and it was a great springboard for my love of muties. I'm diggin' the concept of Legacy and want to see where that gets taken.

Im most excited for the X-Force books, although I don't know why they had to call them both X-Force (Xtreme Xmen sounds like a more fitting title for a book like Uncanny XForce). Cable is always an exciting character to follow, and Im interested to see how Spiral will be working in U X F.

Also, I think 15 X books is a little much. The fact that Wolverine has 2 ongoing books is ridiculous. Judging by the solicits, Savage Wolverine just sounds like a cross-over, or a short arc, not a stand alone title. The same goes for All New X-Men and Gambit.

If I had it my way, the X titles would look like this:

    1. Age of Apocalypse

    2. All-New X-Men (mini series)

    3. Astonishing X-Men

    4. Cable and X-Force

    5. Deadpool (make Deadpool a stand alone title. distance him from his mutant roots)

    6. Gambit (mini series)

    7. Ultimate Comics: X-Men (really awesome book!)

    8. Uncanny X-Force (different title. X-cel?)

    9. Uncanny X-Men

    10. Wolverine

    11. Wolverine and the X-Men

    12. X-Factor

    13. X-Men Legacy

    14. X-Treme X-Men (mini?)

I would say Marvel has gotten a little carried away by the amount of Wolverine and Uncanny titles, but then again DC is publishing like 13 Batman related books.

@blur1528: You don't know Sage :'( FOR SHAME!!! I am not Age of Hurricane but i can answer the question to some degree

Sage was originally recruited to the X men about the same time as the Original X men but instead of being trained by professor Xavier, he decided she would be best used working under cover in the Hellfire club (all this happened off panel or via flash backs) This gave her a bit of a 'why wasn't i good enough' type attitude at times, she is very emotionless (at times) and her brain is more powerful then any computer (or it seemed) she was featured in the early 00's in X-treme X men & after that in an Run in Uncanny X men. She also had the ability to uh Jump start mutant powers, or further evolve them. (she did both in X treme X men, activating Slipstream's power and evolving Lifeguards) and on top of all that she was a total bad ass :D

@McKlayn: Wow. I have quite the reading to do :) I'm diggin' all the aspects of the character and it makes sense that she exists. Many stories often have a character who is told to have always been around even though we are just now seeing them.

@blur1528: McKlayn said it best and in addition to her brief tenure in Uncanny, she then went on to star in Exiles and New Exiles, the latter of which explains her previous predicament. She's one of the best X-Characters ever created.

I havent read Astonishing X-Men since the first arc. Is it essentially WatXM without the students? This is what I gathered from the recent covers. If so, it seems a little unnecessary to have 2 Jean Grey academy books.

@Spawn92: I'm not sure about that. I've never read any of Astonishing X-Men nor have I read Grant Morrison's New X-Men which Whedon based his stories to continue. After that we had, I believe, Christos Gage and then Greg Pak writing the book before Majorie Liu took over. The only thing I know about the story Liu's been working with is that it is Northstar focused whereas Pak's brief stint was interdimensional travel which he used as a springboard for launching X-Treme X-Men. Can any others offer insight as to what the current focus of Astonishing X-Men is?

I try to read most of them but these are my must buys:

    1. Cable X-Force (Cable is my favourite x-Men)

    2. Uncanny X-Force (Love X-Force and man it's with Bishop!)

    3. All New X-Men (Brilliant)

    4. Uncanny X-Men (I bet is as great as no. 3) ;)

    5. X-Men Legacy (love this series)

    6. Savage Wolverine (this art is killing me!)

    7. WATXM (I think new issues are weaker than before AvX)

    8. Wolverine

    9. X-Factor

It focuses on Kyle, Northstar's boyfriend.

Okay, Liu, we get that Northstar's gay and married.

I remember reading that Uncanny X-Men Divided we Stand story! I loved the way that Mike Choi drew all the X-Men characters including Colossus, Wolverine, Nightcrawler, Emma Frost and Cyclops! The characters looked so realistic and sort of glowed on the pages!

I read X books at a core and I feel like there has been way too many X books out for awhile. Once there was a few too many alternate realities, it started getting dumb. Anyway, heres my .02 on all this mess.

    1. Age of Apocalypse - Spinoff from Xforce storyline that was a good story. Not interesting enough to keep up with on its own.

    2. All-New X-Men Im not sure if were talking about the same book, but if this is the "past meets the present" book, I was surprised how much I liked it. I still think bringing the original 5 is a recipe for disaster and a cheap route to bring Jean back, but im trying to keep an open mind about it. Hey 1960s calls and wants its characters back!

    3. Astonishing X-Men - This bookwas kind of dumpy and I stopped buying it until Liu picked it up an started making it interesting. I love that she put karma in the spotlight and gave it a good mix of characters. I dont know if its on the chopping block, but as long as Liu is working with it, im on. Its very character driven which I love.

    4. Cable and X-Force - Havent picked it up yet, but this and the Legion book were the only new X titles I was excited about and looked to be really new concepts. Cables a hottie, and I like seeing him with domino and colossus. Forge and Dr Nemesis are funky adds, but Im guessing you need tech if you are going to be doing hi tech black ops.

    5. Deadpool - This guy has like 10 books and has been majorly overexposed since the late 90s. I could care less about anything with him in it. Ive actually shyed away from anything hes in until I started enjoying him in X-force. I always felt he was gimmicky and overplayed, but am opening up to him on a team. Still not down for his solos though.

    6. Gambit -Love the series, love the art.The story is kind of cheeseball, but Im glad to see gambit getting some story time that isn't a soap opera with rogue constantly breaking up and getting back together like high schoolers.

    7. Savage Wolverine - Same boat as deadpool. Hes already in every possible book, so why buy the solo? I like where wolverine is going with the school and becoming a legacy of professor x's dream, but again hes a character that is majorly overexposed.

    8. Ultimate Comics: X-Men - My friend picks these up and gives them to me. Its more modernized alternate timeline of the core Xmen roster we know today. The writing is good and I can see that it appeals to people who dont want to keep up with the 10 books of the 616, but this book is really unnecessary for anyone that reads 616. I can see the appeal, but its not really my bag.

    9. Uncanny X-Force - Ive got a wierd love/hate relationship with this book. I dont understand where its going for a month or two and want to drop it, then later am blown away by it. Its definetly the darker/adult book of all the X books right now. As much as I want to hate on it for using overexposed and big gun characters for attention, it delivers solid on its story lines.

    10. Uncanny X-Men - Disagreed with it getting restarted and running the long running prior volume, this book has mainly featured scott's exitinction team storyline. I still consider it to be the par for the course book. its got its highs and lows, tells the essential story all the other books are working off of for the storylines that connect.

    11. Wolverine - See number 7.

    12. Wolverine and the X-Men - Thought the idea was bad at first after Schism and how bad generation hope failed, but gave it a chance because anything had to be better than generation hope. The book reads like old school gen-X which I dont really care for. Its too soft, and doesn't really hold much of my interest. I know I say it all the time, but I really miss the Kyle and Yost New-Xmen era. It was new kids, gritty and you never knew what was going to happen next. I like Quentin Quire and some of the other kids but putting the new xmen and gen hope kids in limbo kind of sucked. Hopefully with storm on board it will bend to being what legacy was when rouge was doing mini stories with the students. That concept was great!

    13. X-Factor - Im giving this book a chance because it has a very small but loyal die hard fan base from everything I read on the forums. Right now the team has been in transition for months and I cant really tell where its going. Ill hang out for a few more months, but I hope it gets better. The characters are interesting enough, but its kind of like an indy movie. More about the characters than the overall storyline.

    14. X-Men Legacy - Honestly my favorite book and was sad to see it go. This book managed to spotlight characters that needed some development while only getting into crossovers when it needed to. It has great blend, balance and could stand on its own. RIP legacy!

    15. X-Treme X-Men - If you told me Dazzler was going to be leading her own team, I would have been on board without question. However making it Exiles dimensions hopping flavored and using alternate universe characters was a dealbreaker for me. I wish it the best of luck, but will prob wait till I see it in the .99 cent bin to go back and read it.

@Blacharrt1: New Mutants was good for the first dozen or so issues then took a huge dump and just never came back. The fear the future storyline at the end was good, but the middle was god awful. And I like all those characters, just not together. Lesson learned: Nostalgia isn't enough to sell a book if you dont give it a good story line and villains. Honestly NM was in too many crossovers to get its own storyline and flavor and went back to being "were rebel kids who are directionless" pretty quick.

It looks pretty bad. So bad that I may pick up the issue just to laugh and remind myself why I am not excited about Marvel NOW! It's good to remind oneself of these things.

I blame it on blinks from 616, what a horrible character...

@HopesummersFORtheFUTURE: I've actually been enjoying all of it. Nice seeing how Emma was freed.

    @Blacharrt1: Blinks?
