This is the most recognizable line-up in my opinion.

@gordyman: I wouldn't really call Psylocke "recognizable". I remember her being used a lot in the 90s, but I'm pretty sure that was because she was Marvel's "designated sex symbol" at the time (see also: Elektra about 10 years ago).

Storm, Nightcrawler, Gambit, Wolfsbane, Domino, Dust, Mercury. I think this line up would give some good dialogue at least.

Cyclops (Leading the team) along with Wolverine, Storm, Gambit, Rogue, Beast, Iceman, and Multiple Man.
