I got this idea from someone on Marvel boards. I might use this one for role-playing (if I can find anyone interested), or fanfiction. He's a villain for time travel storylines. I'll make more profiles later. Until then, feel free to share your own.

HISTORY: Jolly Roger was born of nomads roaming the Arabian desert, under the name Hazim. Once, while he was a young man, his clan came very close to the sea. He witnessed Mediterranean pirates ransacking a village. Amazed at the sight of such chaos, Hazim slipped away from his family to better spectate. Then, in an alley, he encountered a group of the pirates. As they began drawing their sabers, Hazim's power was unlocked as he became desperate for survival. He was able to influence the pirate's thoughts and emotions without so much as saying a word. Exploiting this, he abandoned the nomads and became one of them. Few in the crew could resist Hazim's power to make them loyal to him, though the pirate captain did. Hazim had his newfound underlings attack the captain in unison. The mutinous crew handed Hazim the former captain's saber, and he began his reign of evil over the Mediterranean Sea, eventually traveling all the way to the Caribbean. Over the years he sharpened his mutant power and combat skills to great proficiency.

Powers: Control over any matter in a liquid state. This includes large scales, such as stopping tsunami's (in fact, she almost kills herself doing this once), down to molecular, such as separating two liquids from one another. The range of her control is from barely condensed mists to flowing lava. Her power also gives her potentially deadly power over the human body, something she is very cautious in doing. However, the ability to control the fluids the body have helped both her and others survive wounds that would otherwise be fatal. Her principle weapon is a water drill, jets of water projected at such high speed and pressure that they have the ability to cut stone or metal.
Secondary to that, Pania has a suite of mutations that allow her to better function in water. Her eyes are adapted to the light difference, wave and color distortion under water. This makes her susceptible to bright light and she requires the use of dark prescription glasses on land that are photo sensitive. Her breathing rate is extremely slow and her body processes air more efficiently. Also, when deprived of oxygen, unnecessary organs in her body shut down as they do in whales on deep dives. At rest, her "bottom time" is nearly 20 minutes. In aerobic activity, like battle, it lessens to 8. The construction of her inner ear prevents water from entering. Her eustacean tubes and balance centers are specialized to allow her to constantly tell "which way is up", which also comes in handy in 0-G situations. By using her power over water to create currents and micro currents, she can swim faster than the fastest marine animal (the sailfish @ 60 mph) with incredible agility.
Personality: On first meeting her, Pania appears to be the classic academic but one soon realizes that is merely a "safe" and rewarding focus for her passionate nature. Strongly opinionated, she is ready to cross intellectual swords in debate with anyone at the drop of a hat. She is well spoken, though not on Hank McCoy’s level of eloquence. She is by turns highly rational & practical and naively idealistic & hot tempered with hefty (and occasionally unhealthy) doses of curiosity. She enjoys and relishes challenges, especially intellectual ones though physical ones are also a treat to her. She’s been known to play an occasional friendly game of rugby, and is a fan of the Canterbury Crusaders. For all her intellectualism and physical activity, she does have a strong feminine side. She isn’t the lip stick and lace/leather type nor the eternal mother as Storm is, but she can be quite feminine in her unvarnished way. When not in uniform, she tends to dress casually in jeans and cardigan sweaters, more formally in sleek lines and long skirts, and sometimes 1930’s-ish style sundresses in the summer.
She has a decent sense of humor, if a little on the odd/absurdist side, that she often keeps to herself. This occasionally results in unexplained smiles and arched eyebrows, occasionally a muffled chuckle. Due to her childhood experiences, she has an easier time forming friendships with men. Still, while generally appearing easy going and affable, she can be distant and has a hard time forming close friendships & trusting others, tending go her own way and rely on herself to the point that it gets her into trouble. However, she is 30, aware of these faults and their cause, and so sometimes catches herself. Sometimes.
She has a very high standards she holds herself to and tries to act with the most integrity she can. Moral failings haunt her far more than physical ones. She is not intimidated easily. For her to follow someone’s orders blindly (something she is simply not used to doing), they have to gain her respect first. She hates being scared and plows through it by riding on a wave of anger at herself.
As far as being a superhero, as one person put it, “She doesn’t want to be a cop, she wants to be a fireman”. She isn’t as interested in spending her life bashing on super-villains as she is saving lives because it feels like she is really helping people. However, obviously she is often drawn into the more classic super-hero types of battles (or I wouldn’t have much to write about). She isn’t the snarky quipster going into a fight, but tends to hang back at first, encouraging her opponents to underestimate her before she opens a can of whoop-ass on them. Because she is so petite, the less experienced opponents often fall for it. (My sister is this size and fences. She experiences this reaction all the time, especially from her male opponents. What they don’t realize is that at 5’ 2”, she still has a 14 foot lunge. Hehe.)
History: Initially growing up on various naval bases in New Zealand, Pania’s early childhood was near horrific, being violently abused by an alcoholic mother who went on binges while her father, a Naval officer, was at sea. After an attack that nearly took Pania’s life, her father discovered what was happening and her parents divorced. She was sent to be raised by her paternal grandparents outside of Kaikoura (a small sea-side town) on the South Island of New Zealand. Through a lot of trials, including imprisonment in a mental hospital after hunting down and attacking her mother, she eventually recovered and became a success. She lives and teaches in Wellington, holding a Ph.D.s in oceanography and maritime history. She is also a special deputy of the New Zealand Coast Guard, on call for maritime disasters. While she is not well-known worldwide, she is known in N.Z. (they have great respect for rescue personnel there) and her identity is public.
X-History: Xavier first approached her when her mutant power manifested, but she refused his offer, preferring to stay with her grandparents instead. Xavier didn’t press them matter because he sensed her buried emotional turmoil regarding her mother and worried about adding an unstable personality to the original team’s dynamic. That turmoil bubbled over when she was 17. Pania tracked down her mother and attacked her, but relented at the last minute, not being able to kill. She surrendered herself to the authorities. Magneto broke her out of prison to try to recruit her into the Brotherhood, but she refused. In mentioning her grandparents in the ensuing argument, she tripped Magneto’s feeling of loss of his family to the Holocaust (not that he admitted that). Between this and knowing the physical coercion would backfire given her background, Magneto relented and she returned to police custody. Pania spent a year serving her time in a mental institution, working through her emotional trauma while completing her studies. She later went on to attend college, eventually gaining a Ph.D.s in maritime history and oceanography.
When the initial team of X-Men was captured by living island Krakoa, Xavier called her in to help as he did the others in the second team of X-Men. Between that adventure and a couple mistakes she had made in rescuing people in the past, Pania decided to stay with the group in order to receive more training in the use of her powers. She became friendly with Colossus given their mutual interest in art and her ability to speak Russian. She left the group shortly after their return from Japan (via Canada), feeling that she would rather help people then battle super beings. She also questioned the wisdom of trying to fight for coexistence while keeping oneself apart from humanity as the X-Men do. She returned to New Zealand to teach in Wellington and assist the Coast Guard.
Later, Storm would call her in to help (and keep an eye on) Magneto with the New Mutants when he became the headmaster of the school during his reformation period. She taught in the classroom while he trained in the Danger Room. After a rough start, she and Magneto came to respect one another and became friendly (or as friendly as someone can get with Magneto), though as both were fiery, opinionated intellectuals, they continued to debate frequently over just about everything, science, politics, culture, art, religion, world events, etc.. She also grew close to Amara (Magma) as her historical knowledge gave her more insight to the culture clash Amara was experiencing in coming to the U.S.. After the New Mutants left the school and Magneto joined up with the “Acts of Vengeance”, Pania once again recused herself from the human-mutant conflict to return to New Zealand.
Over the years, Pania’s path has occasionally crossed with other superheroes on various adventures. However, Pania prefers to stay in New Zealand. Naturally, she has great concern about the ocean environment and has occasionally crossed the line into eco-terrorism. She maintains contact with her former students and has an odd friendship with Magneto.

Abilities:
Marianne has control over the seven deadly sins. This means that she can cause people to become over come by a specific sin. For example she could cause someone to become insanely jealous of another person, or else could cause someone to fall madly in lust with someone. In relation to this she also has a relatively weak ability to "feel" a persons personality to determine which sin would be most effective.History: Her mutant abilities manifested when she was 13 years old. At this age she was a recluse and very un-sociable therefore leading to her lacking of friends. The first victim of this was her then best friend, who she discovered with her personality reading abilities was nothing more than a user and a liar. The girl was simply playing a prank on her which she has been dared to do by the "popular girls" in the school. Unknowingly her anger manifested her mutant abilities and therefore caused her "best friend" to become the object of everyone's envy, to such an extent every where she went she was getting hounded by people.
Since this incident she has became fully aware of what she can do and has started utilising it for more destructive means.
Notable Physical Traits: Depending on what sin is being manipulated, then the outside of her pupils glow a different colour.

MUTANT POWER(S): Has the ability to create live snakes to grow from his body any species and size. He can also make his own body parts turn into snakes, as well the power of regeneration, venom, and hypnosis
OTHER ABILITIES: Knowledge of ancient styles of fighting.
HISTORY: Sean was the son of a stripper and a pimp in Australia. After his father was killed by another pimp, he later moved to Jamaica at age with his mom and new father who was a rude boy and fisherman. From age 4 to 10 he was the only white kid in his area but gained respect for his insane antics as well as gaining street credit as a vicious street fighter. After a major gang fight between his step father's gang and another gang, his mother was killed one night in her sleep as a gang member cut her throat. Both the young Sean and his step father butcher the killer.
Two years later 12 year old Sean and his Jamaican step father moved to Cario Egypt. His step father gain status as a casino owner as well as fight promoter for blood sports in a very poor town in Cario. Sean was the star fighter of his step-father's casino. But Sean helped gain money for his family and the town in another way. He was an assassin. He would be hired and paid to kill people on the street and used the money to give to the people in his village. By the time he reached 18, him and his dad were attacked by criminals in the Casino and tried to kill both Sean and his step-father with venomous cobras. The cobra killed the step father, but when it bit Sean, it some how changed him. He gains the powers he has now and kills the men. After his father's funeral, he vows to still give money to his village and leaves Egypt as a freelance assassin. He resides in Thailand as sax player for a local bar. But he travels all over the world as an assassin and does his job very well. He does not care who he kills. Good guy, Bad guy, just as long as he gets the cheak and sends it back to his friends in Egypt.
