For the purposes of this list, I'd agree. My all-time favorite would be Phalanx Covenant.

It didn't bring you Chamber, pix. It was Skin, Husk, Synch, M, and Blink.

Oh...okay. I liked AoA the most, but X-Cutioner's song is a close second.

x-cutioners song here

i enjoyed stryfe

#12 Posted by Psi-Fire (982 posts) - - Show Bio

I'm surprised Fatal Attactions isn't on the list. that was better than at least six of the arcs on the list. Kurrent is slipping. lol

Anyone who votes for House Of M will get shot by me. That storyline didn't take advantage of its potential at all.

#14 Posted by Mr. Wilson (6322 posts) - - Show Bio

How is House of M winning?

#15 Posted by pixelized (62882 posts) - - Show Bio

it's probably the one people are most familiar with

I haven't seen where anyone has even voted for it. HOM sucked balls, hon.

#17 Edited by Mr. Wilson (6322 posts) - - Show Bio

True.  For me both Age of Apocalypse and Messiah Complex were the best.

House Of M is WINNING! WhatTF?! Whoever voted for it, line up! Because you're about to get shot...
#20 Posted by Mr. Wilson (6322 posts) - - Show Bio

lol

#21 Posted by Psi-Fire (982 posts) - - Show Bio

All that shows me is that most of the people who voted are sniffing some of that white fire.

#22 Edited by gunswordfist (2669 posts) - - Show Bio

I'm serious. It had great art, Bendis was writing it and he hasn't disappointed me before then..then nothing much happens. Wolverine runs around, gets superheroes to join him with ease thanks to some conviently placed pudgy super brat, breaks up a big Magneto party that happens to be on that day..and that ridiculous 'It wasn't Magneto. It was PIETRO!' weakass 'plot twist' And the end battle wasn't even that good. It was 'hey let's slap a bunch of chaos on the page and call it a day. We don't give a damn if no one can tell what was going on.' The best part was win Quicksilver tagged everyone and I find it hilarious that the one character with superspeed was the easiest to tell what he was doing. lol

HOM was a great arc, just not the best X-arc on the list.

#25 Posted by Precise (22886 posts) - - Show Bio

Personally i really enjoyed the House of M arc, although i voted AoA for this poll.

#26 Posted by Psi-Fire (982 posts) - - Show Bio

I can understand why some would like it, but to vote it better than say, The phoenix saga is a slap in the face to anyone with an ounce of common sense. I understand it's a matter of opinion, but damn, it makes you wonder did they even read most of the arcs on the list.

I thought it was just okay. They took no advantage of mutants having reign over humans. They could have at least showed Magneto winning the war against humans.
#28 Posted by Psi-Fire (982 posts) - - Show Bio

That would have been cool as hell to see that.

#29 Posted by gunswordfist (2669 posts) - - Show Bio

Yes it would have been. But instead we just got some article...

#30 Posted by Psi-Fire (982 posts) - - Show Bio

I know. That is one of the reasons I thought it wasn't as good as it could have been.

#31 Posted by gunswordfist (2669 posts) - - Show Bio

Yeah so much wasted potential. What was Bendis thinking?

#32 Posted by time (4948 posts) - - Show Bio

I think the best story arcs are x-cuitoner song & age of apocalypse

#33 Posted by Andferne (38808 posts) - - Show Bio

I can't decide... :(

#34 Posted by Darkchild (40624 posts) - - Show Bio

phalanx Covenant wasn't that great it was alright. I do think age of apcalpse was good too.

If i had to split it up,

The best story arcs of early years was

X-cuitoner song

Age of apocalypse

 Days of the future past

later years

Phoenix endsong
Messiah complex

phalanx Covenant wasn't that great it was alright.
If Generation X hadn't come from it, i would have said the same thing. I just liked how it brought a majority of the teams together. Excalibur, X-Force, X-Factor

Was it? I kind of assumed it was garbage. Perhaps I didn't give it a fair chance.

No, I didn't know that. I never looked at it. It was called X-Men: The End, and was written by Claremont. I didn't have high expectations for it.

But Claremont wrote New Mutants, not all of his stuff was bad!

His stuff from the past decade has been absolutely abysmal. Look at his handiwork on New Exiles. The guy has lost his touch.

#50 Posted by pixelized (62882 posts) - - Show Bio

and now he's back, with X-Men: Forever.
