obviously I said Kitty.

but, from this list, Magneto and Rogue would both be close seconds.

and, really, all of the X-men became most interesting in the 80's..

also, Gambit and Jubilee both joined in the 80's.

I loved that lineup of X ladies, once again, non-pretentious, each had their own little bit of justified angst and each had a variety of character beats. And they had fun!

Gambit was introduced in 1990 (The Uncanny X-Men Annual #14), so he wasn't around during the '80s.
